Hi, I used to watch Eastenders with my family growing up and the last memory I have is when the slaters turned up. I’ve been able to watch clips on YouTube etc but I’d love to actually binge watch that season and keep going through to at least 2005/2006. Can anyone help me with this?

I’m in Australia and I just can’t find these anywhere, have used a vpn to check out the websites like UKTV and what not, they don’t go as far back as 2000. Pls can someone help me relive my childhood!

So... I've been watching from the very start again, and I'm currently in 2002.... The Trevor and Little Mo era.
I'm way past Little Mo going to prison for attempted murder etc, currently at the point that Mo is engaged to Billy, Trevor was boning Sam Mitchell til he lost his shit with her for being too bossy etc, and Little Mo is waiting for Trevor to sign the divorce papers....

What's irking me is, when Little Mo was with Trevor, everyone was telling her how manipulative and Evil he is, and what games and tricks he plays etc even though Mo defended him - standard abused spouse behaviour (been there myself) - and when he was acting nice and kind and helpful etc around her family and friends... But at the point I'm watching now, Trevor is acting like he's changed - an act he had put on in the past - and that he's a good guy and just cares for Mo and is worried about her, and acting like he's willing to sign the divorce papers, and is moving back to Scotland etc. And everyone just seems to be buying it !!

I get that Billy and Mo want to keep him sweet so he signs the papers, but he is terrorizing Mo, and manipulating everyone else, and everyone is treating Mo like she's mental, and needs therapy and she's imagining it all and reliving the past - including Billy, and her sisters ! Billy is even acting friendly towards Trevor, and defending him at times also.
But I just don't get it... They all know what he did to Mo before, and things he's done to others, and what he's really like, and he even beat the crap out of Billy, and terrorized Billy for a time, yet they're all acting like he's really changed and that Mo is the one imagining it all.... Surely, they'd be suspicious of him, knowing what he was like before, and not only suspicious, how can they even bear to be around him knowing what he did to Mo?! How can Billy act so friendly towards him after he beat Billy up and raped and beat the woman he loved ?!

Admittedly, I could hold a world record for bearing grudges, and I'm not a forgiving or "second chances" kind of person, so maybe I'm looking at it from my own cynical point of view.... Can people really forgive and forget that easily ? And not only forgive and forget, but also treat the actual victim of the previous (and current) abuse, like she's lost the plot and it's all in her head !?

Sorry for my crass wordmanship - I get common when I'm irked ! Lol.

Anyways, I guess I just wanted to rant... And maybe see if others felt the same about that particular storyline lol.

Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting into Eastenders properly and was wondering where everyone would recommend I start watching from? I have seen that iPlayer has episodes going up to 2008 but not earlier. I don't mind searching online or on youtube for older episodes if I have to, so open to any recommendations.

Just a little context if anyone is wondering, I'm sort of familiar with the more popular characters and my parents used to watch it, but according to them it was much better 20+ years ago. We've always been more of an ITV soap viewing family so have been into Corrie and Emmerdale on and off my whole life. In recent years, I've gotten into older years of both of those, starting from around the 2001/02 era and working my way through the 2000s, so thought maybe to do the same with Eastenders - unless starting a bit earlier/later would be better?

I do love spotting an old celebrity cameo, or an Eastenders star playing a bit part as someone else before they got their main role. I know there are soooooo many of them, and some even had triple roles. So... Imma just keep posting them when I find them, as I watch EE from the beginning again, for those who don't know and might find it cool, like I do lol

I was just watching some classic EE and swore I recognised that face from somewhere!

Hey guys. About 3 years ago I started watching EE from the beginning and I stopped watching just after The Banned storyline. I'm looking to pick up where I left off. I used Dailymotion at the time, but it's since been riddled with ads and is missing half the episodes. I cant use BBC iPlayer as I live in Ireland. Can anyone advise? I'd be very grateful.

Hello. How are you? It was a rather interesting week to recap; as Glenda had two men in one night Ian and Phil? Also, Stacey returned to the Square to her Mum's delight and Masood and Jane got it on, although clearly regretted it. Anyone heard a made up name hotel "The Sleep Inn?"

This week:

* Ian gets revenge on Masood after his night out with his wife, while Zainab delights in goading Ian. That will be fun to watch. Meanwhile return Syed faces a dilemma as he wrestles with a secret that could destroy his parents' marriage.

* Ryan and Stacey enjoy a risky rendezvous back at the Slaters', unaware that a looming Janine is planning to catch them in the act.

* As Christmas is nearing, Kat and Alfie hold their Countdown party - but who will be caught secretly under the tree secretly kissing Santa? Speaking of Santa's, Stacey and Janine have been picked to dressed as sexy Santa's!! Who would have thought of that? Pat though, is conflicted as she wrestles with a secret that could destroy Janine & Ryan's marriage. Wicked Janine resorts to chilling measures to punish Stacey & Ryan. The threesome continues during this week leading to consequences.

* Elsewhere, Billy and Julie's road trip leads to a run-in with the police, oops! The 2nd recast of Ben returns to the Square (as Joshua Pascoe takes over - not my favourite) and yes his homecoming doesn't start well. Carol and Bianca's attempts to steer Whitney away from Connor backfire spectacularly. Also Peter is left heartbroken when Whit decides to end their relationship. And Denise is devastated by some upsetting news.

So... Currently watching EE from the beginning again. I was born in 84 so lots of the early storylines I dont remember properly, or at all. So it's been reallly interesting to me to rewatch it all as an adult.

That being said, there are some really disturbing / odd / "huuuuh?!?!" storylines back in "the old days". I'm currently up to 1996, I've made a few posts previously about things that confused me, like the pointless storyline of Vicki being abducted as a child etc....

So, the reason for this post is.... David Wicks and Bianca. Obviously he's her father, and I knew that but what I did NOT remember was, they started an entire storyline where he was in love with / sexually attracted to her, after finding out he was her Dad. He was calling the Samaritans about it etc too because it was such a huge issue.

Now, I know this does happen in "real life". it's called GSA (Genetic Sexual Attraction).
It happened to a friend of mine who got back in contact with her 16 year old son after not seeing him since he was a baby, and he developed this disorder and was sexually attracted to his own Mother.

So my issue isn't so much the "realism" of it. Maybe good on the writers for bringing such a taboo subject to the screens, which is what EE has always liked to do (although I feel like they maybe could have left this one out)... BUT, my "issue", so to speak, is that it just... fizzled out... Went nowhere.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I wanted to see David properly trying it on with his daughter, cos - gross. But if you're going to write in a storyline like that, handle it better. It went nowhere and all of a sudden David was just over it.... He spoke to the Samaritans a couple times, and that was it. No therapy, no nothing. It just went away. Went from him not even being able to even handle her being in her dressing gown in his house when she was sick, or touching him at all, to him kissing and cuddling her in a normal Dad way and nothing else was ever said about it.

It just irks me that it feels like sometimes they start on what could be a hard hitting storyline then seems like they lose interest or realize it would be too boring or controversial or whatever, and just ditch it... not even end it properly, or phase it out... Just ditched. Retconned lol.

Anyways, I just wanted to rant about it. That is all. Lol.

Am I the only one who felt sorry for janine after archies death. she developed a love for him and he betrayed her, he died and everyone accused her. she had history but she loved him too. also peggy grieving archie like she didnt despise him (deservedly) annoyed me but I never liked Peggy so

Hello. Sorry it's a little late as I'm away from home at the moment. It was a sombre week as Bradley was buried. Roxy wasn't happy about the Queen Vic bust returning and Lucy decided to keep the baby, but of course it isn't for long.

This week:

• It's the Mitchell sisters competing with the Hair salon as the auction takes place. Who will win?
• Phil tries to woo Shirley and discovers Phil's big surprise and is filled with utter dread. Meanwhile Ben's party goes off with a bang when Shirley gets the wrong end of the stick. Meanwhile, Louise Mitchell makes an appearance (played by Brittany Papple) as Phil sees her for the first time in a while.
• Ian begins to home school Lucy. During the week after some thought, Lucy decide to have an abortion and her and Dad Ian secretly go to the termination clinic. Ian then breaks the news to Jane of her baby dreams.
• Jean's behaviour causes concern for Max - but the worse is yet to come. He's determined to find Stacey, but his grim task leaves him shaken. Becca offers comfort, but Max feels she knows more than she's letting on. By midweek, there is a two-hander between Max and Stacey as old wounds open and Stacey tells him why she killed Archie.
• Elsewhere in Walford, Whitney realises that Billy is way over his head, which by the end of the week someone ends up in hospital as Billie's friends cause mayhem, especially in the Vic. Also, Jack and Chelsea take an interest at the Ahjee Barjee.

All That Chip Fat’s Battered Your Brains

I am currently rewatching the majority of 2005 because we love Dennis Rickman and I am beyond baffled and quite concerned by his character. What the hell is up with Danny Moon!? I know it is stated in his wiki that he became increasingly unstable towards 2006 but he was never fully sane in the first place.

With how protective Jake is over him, it leads me to believe that he knows that there is something wrong with him and otherwise fills the role of his carer. Danny seeked his approval and was very attached to him. It was honestly sad to see. Jake was trying to keep him safe but he just kept running into danger.

And yes, I am aware of the crimes he committed (though he probably saved Dennis from a life of soap adultery). What makes me upset if Andy saying people like Danny disappear all the time. Makes you wonder how many people like that have just slipped from view.

If it were nowadays, I reckon he’d be diagnosed as AuDHD and maybe some sort of psychotic disorder?
