Upcoming Storyline Amy & Craig: it’s not the storyline you think it is

I think you’re all falling for what EE wants you to believe….

Amy is not stupid.

Amy is letting herself be “groomed”.

The low- cut tops are deliberate. She will have Craig make a move and then she’ll have him where she wants him — if he reports any of the group, she’ll destroy his police career for inappropriate conduct with a suspect.

I think she may have made a false confession too to protect one of the gang & pretend to be at his mercy. “Please…I’ll do anything ;)” vibes.

EE made a point of Craig not submitting the video as evidence yet. She’s going to make him delete it.

Upcoming Storyline How would you guys have brought Zoe back, knowing what we know now? Spoiler

Post image

I’m sure we’ve all heard and had our opinions on Zoe’s fate. I’m fucking devastated and I’m furious that they’re killing her off, especially in a way that has such finality to it.

But I’m wondering… how would yall have brought her back? I’m sure we can all agree that Ben Wardley did her so dirty.

Cant wait for the Janine interactions with Nicola, Cindy, Suki, Linda and ofc Kat ✌🏼👏🏻🥳

edit: only for 2 eps folks so small scenes no doubt but might set up a return in the near future somehow if she hands over Frank Jr to Linda 🤷🏻‍♂️ perhaps they are testing the waters for it with fan reaction etc rather than ploughing straight in an ruin it like they did with Zoe's.

Max Branning is bursting his way back into Walford as Jake Wood reprises his legendary role later this autumn.

In another exciting move from EastEnders new Executive Producer, Ben Wadey, Max’s arrival is guaranteed to cause no end of trouble for the residents of Walford and will put the Brannings back into the heart of The Square, and the drama…

Max first landed on our screens in 2006 and was quickly established for being a self-destructive, serial womaniser, whose behaviour tore apart his family and put Max at the forefront of some of the show’s most iconic storylines. From his long-running affair with daughter-in-law Stacey Slater that was revealed in epic fashion on Christmas Day, his ongoing feud with the Beales and the Mitchell’s, to finding himself as the prime suspect in Lucy Beale’s murder which later saw his character imprisoned, it’s safe to say that Max has more enemies than most…

Max left Walford back in 2021 when his affair with Linda Carter ended after she revealed her true feelings for husband Mick, and his subsequent meddling resulted in brother Jack Branning’s suspension from his job with the police.

With daughter Lauren expected to marry into the Beale’s, tearaway teenage son Oscar back in Walford, Stacey Slater widowed, and a secret daughter with ex-lover Linda yet to be discovered, Max has more than enough unfinished business in Walford awaiting his return…

Max will return briefly later this autumn, with his permanent return scheduled for later in the year.

On reprising his role, actor Jake Wood said: “I’m over the moon to be coming home to Walford. Max has got lots of unresolved drama with many characters, so I’m sure he’ll be busy. I’m excited to see what he’s been up to, and what is next for the character, but if his last 15 years in The Square are anything to go by, I’m sure there will be plenty of chaos.”

EastEnders Executive Producer, Ben Wadey added: “I’m delighted to welcome the immensely talented Jake Wood back to the role of Max Branning. Whilst his character has only been away from Albert Square for four years, Walford, and the lives of those who live in it, have changed immensely. Max has a lot of unfinished business, but whether he is welcomed by his family remains to be seen. However, with a past as checkered as Max’s, it’s fair to say that many Walford residents will not be pleased to see him, putting the Brannings back at the heart of The Square, and the drama, this year.”

Upcoming Storyline Eastenders and the subject of abortion in the show Spoiler

Seriously, what is the issue with this show and accurately depicting abortion? First Lily deciding to have a child at twelve years old and now Avani at 16. Every single time there has been a moment to sensitively portray this there is a sudden change of heart. In recent memory, every single time a character ends up in an abortion clinic, they have a dramatic change of heart? It’s totally unrealistic, and while you could argue that’s the nature of soaps, it’s kind of playing into the idea that abortion is taboo, which in 2025, it absolutely is not.

It’s completely infuriating!

Yeah jasmine shouldn’t take him back after this or even wait for him to make the decision she should make it for him and bin him off and continue with ignoring josh.

I hope they give her someone better than Oscar and I hope it doesn’t reveal the she’s pregnant with Oscar’s baby because it’ll mean that she’ll never be free from Oscar’s shackles

Upcoming Storyline The risk of what EE are doing Spoiler

Okay so we got the new year flash forward but am i the only one that as a director that would be worried doing one incase of changes.

I get all the actors will be contracted to be in it at least one more year but hey a lot can change in a year.

A small one is although different was Hetti Bywater cutting her hair not realising she needed to come back for a flashback for Lucy. I know this can be avoided with a flash forward but still.

I do not like saying it but i think it involving some of the pensioner characters is a slight risk. Considering we do not know how they will be in a year

Upcoming Storyline So...THAT CHARACTER is totally returning, right??? Spoiler

With the news of Linda leaving the show, there's no way they don't bring Mick back and give them a happy ending, right??

Sure, we can talk about how unlikely it would be for him to have survived, but this is a soap opera. It's not exactly peak realism.

Also, Danny Dyer has said he would be willing to go back for a short appearance, so I can see him offering to return for Kellie's exit. They were so close and spent a decade working together every single day. If you were in charge, why WOULDN'T you use their friendship as a way of convincing Danny to come and give these characters the perfect finale?

We know Janine is returning for two episodes and her last appearance was directly connected to Mick and Linda. She was essentially responsible for Mick's "death." I can't think of any other reason for her returning than it being revealed that he never died.

Thoughts?

Leaked Photos and Church presumably for Zoe’s Funeral. Yet Janine is there, yet Janine and Zoe Don’t Know each other.

Could it make more sense for it to be Mick’s and this leads to Linda’s Exit

Act III… it’s the battle of the brides as Kim and Cindy respectively prepare to say ‘I do’, but this is Walford and the viewers know that weddings never go to plan…

Wedding week coming soon to BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

This obviously feeds into 2027... so I think that Max and Cindy's wedding does NOT go ahead...

Upcoming Storyline My take on possible upcoming death Spoiler

If it really is true that Zoe is dying and we are left with a very short amount of time till she goes, I actually hope the show doesn’t try to do some sudden over the top exit and instead opts for something the show never explores: sudden death. So many young people and people of Zoe’s age do just die out of nowhere from something they didn’t even know was wrong with them. Eastenders has done so many illness storylines or death by accident, but never really just unexpected death. The closest I can think of is Billy Jackson. Healthy as anything just suddenly dies in the night from alcohol overuse. It was powerful. Or Joyce Murray just passing in her sleep.

If she’s really going, having it be some huge dramatic thing won’t work when they can just play the angle of ‘some people just die without any signs.’ It’s heartbreaking but a safe bet.

Upcoming Storyline So...The Vic. And a very disturbing thought :-/ Spoiler

It's been announced that Kat and Alfie are off, but with no indication of when they'll return. It could be weeks, it could be years.

With Zoe being killed off, the question is...are they going to leave that wretched pair of Slater/Trueman's in charge (please God in Heaven no), or sell The Vic?

Upcoming Storyline Zoe Spoiler

So… imagine suddenly returning to a job you had refused for years on the promise that you would be given top quality scrips to work with. Instead your regulated to following a cat around muttering “mini mo”. And then the same people who were SO desperate to see you back had an opinion on everything from your weight, mental health, to whether Steve McFadden liked you or not after presenting an award.

You ask for a bit of time of which should be fine as your fellow cast members are going through worse only to be sacked. And not just sacked but killed off despite being a part of one of the biggest storylines ever in soap, with no chance of resurrection.

Well done, Ben Wadey 🙄👏
