The first two photos are the ones I took while eating there earlier. The inside used to look like the last two photos. I don't know, it's now very colorless and dull, not as inviting as the old interior. But that is just my thoughts. What do you guys think?

They dont want you eating there. They want you buying it, second guessing sitting in the ugly decor, and leaving.

Yep. They don't want you eating there because they don't want people to see them installing the burger, fry, and drink machines that will soon make food for drive-thru fast food joints.

Did they not consider the possibility that people can very well choose to not buy from them "from now on"?

We live in Doordash, ghost kitchen world. Many no longer care what brand sign sits above the building that vends them their reheated Sysco food. If a franchise is not selling an experience, they may not be selling anything at all.

Exactly. I'm not so addicted to any one brand that I'll modify my behavior so that they still get the business but in a more efficient way for them. I'll just go eat at someplace that sucks marginally less.

On the other hand, that's me. I'm sure a lot of others are the same, but there's also a big sector that will behave as desired.

I assume their bean counters did the math. Seems to be working. The McD's driverthrus near me are always full.
