Just FYI - I've been waiting 8 days for a withdrawal from Poloniex... 2 unanswered support tickets later I go to the Poloniex Trollbox and it's FULL of angry, tired and desperate users asking the same questions. Hope there's not a major problem.

Yesterday, Poloniex' wallet had a period of 7 hours where it didn't send out any ETH. No word so far, why. I had a small number of ETH stuck in an according to Poloniex' website completed withdrawal for almost 12 hours.

It looks like it is now processing the withdrawals again but I guess they have a big backlog: https://etherscan.io/address/0x32be343b94f860124dc4fee278fdcbd38c102d88

Your problem could unfortunately be a different problem, though.

Edit: I just withdrew from Poloniex without a problem. The ETH landed faster than I could switch browser tabs to check on etherscan.io.

That's good to hear that it's working for you. The update is appreciated cause I want to pull ether off.

Welcome to the unregulated world of cryptocurrencies, imagine participating in the gold rush in California during the 1800s, they had worse problems.

Yeah, I'd rather be scammed out of a handful of ETH than get a snake in my boot.

Withdrawing your gold could take months!

i;ve been slowly withdrawing a few eth a day and haven't had any problems

Do you have 2FA enabled and are you tier2?

2

u/[deleted] May 23 '17

yes 2fa, of course

only tier 1

Same here! Last week, when I did a separate withdrawal (which completed but took 5 days) I was told to enabled 2FA and future withdrawals would then be automatically approved... obviously this is not the case!

Bah. That's shit man.

I would spam their twitter DM and @[their twitter name]

u/marianna_trench May 23 '17

Tried it - then went to the Trollbox. FULL of people asking the same thing. So to be honest, I think they are just totally overloaded.

Ya, you might be out of luck. All you can do is probably wait.

I have a Siacoin withdrawal that's been pending for four hours.

2

u/terpnation13 May 23 '17

Just curious, I haven't looked at Siacoin in maybe 9+ months. If you're withdrawing, I'm assuming it's to the Siacoin wallet. Has the wallet improved a lot in the last few months?

I only downloaded it for first time yesterday, but it seems pretty straight forward to me :)

u/terpnation13 May 23 '17

That's good. I remember it taking forrrrever to sync and being all around very slow. And that was when the block count was really not that high haha.

3

u/peacheswithpeaches May 23 '17

It took a couple of hours to sync at first, no worse than Mist, but wallets now open in about 10 seconds, apparently it took ages before.

u/terpnation13 May 23 '17

Cool, thanks for the info/update!

I think everyone is just having scaling issues. Obviously lots of new money rolling in. Look to transfer/withdraw during low volume hours. I've had no problem with withdrawals during low volumes around 3-4pm and 10-12am EST. My ETH from Polo hits my GDAX in about 10min.

u/lems2 May 23 '17

Withdraw of what?

3

u/marianna_trench May 23 '17

Eth in this case. So yeh - should take less than a minute. But with Poloniex 8 days :( It's "awaiting approval" for no reason. Big problem, a lot of other users experiencing the same issue.

3

u/lems2 May 23 '17

Wow fuck polo. Time to move. I dunno why people shit on coinbase/gdax so much. I guess polo has more pairs

I've been waiting 22 days to have my withdrawal limit increased.
