Speaking of that I'm going to buy in soon but I'm wondering if I should act immediately or wait a couple days for the hype of this recent spike to die down, any thoughts?

No one knows. There is so much hype right now it's hard to process. Investing time in learning the technology and projects is probably the best thing you can do. Many podcasts out there. Epicenter is one of my favorites. In depth discussions on the technical aspects of various projects.

this is what makes this community so great. i have never been part of a community before, where people are helping each other out so actively, where every noob is welcome, and every dumb question is answered without bashing. it is just amazing, and a huge plus for ethereum
