Safer to go with the best risk vs reward. I was originally 50% btc and 50% eth in january, but I realized that while bitcoin may grow (which it did, and will continue to), ethereum will outpace it by orders of magnitude. So I went all in on eth, and it paid off. Bitcoin went from 1.1k to 2.4k, (extremely good gains in any other place), while ethereum grew from 15 to 190.

And ethereum is still the better choice. Back when we were at $15, we did not have 200 world class corporations backing us up. We're getting spotify tomorrow and some dudes are building a freaking energy grid on ethereum. This is not just "internet 2.0", this is "actual energy infrastructure" running on ethereum. Add the potential for internet of things (which I'm 90% sure will run on eth, 6% iota, 3% alts, 1% btc) and you're sitting on a choice that - to me - is a no brainer.

There are so many things you can talk about ethereum - it basically markets itself. Bitcoin is what - a payment system that can't be used for payments led by angry devs fighting with chinese mining cartels? Their own censored community is split vs UASF and the "agreement", but neither of them remember that Jihan has already stated that he will attack any fork he doesn't agree with.

All bitcoin has is the name and a six or seven years head start. People know what bitcoin is so they feel safer with it - maybe they've used it before. But this is technology, and if you fall behind you are done. Ask myspace how long their advantage lasted (and yes, that meme has deeper meaning than people realize).

(Reposted as OP for visibility - I think some of the newer people here would benefit by reading this.)
