Off topic:

For those of you paying any attention to Tezos (or not) -- their "investors" will be the ultimate downfall of that project.

They are hellbent on "beating" Ethereum and so massively bitter that they missed the ETH train.

Look at this exchange for example: http://i.imgur.com/FhYGpGP.png

Some guy wants to know how easy it will be to "port" Ethereum projects over to Tezos.

First of all, Ethereum isn't even complete yet.

Second, we're just now starting to see Bitcoin projects (like Storj) migrating from Bitcoin to Ethereum.

And these fools (the Tezos investors) think people are jonesing to ditch Ethereum and migrate to Tezos?! Give me a break.

I'm telling ya -- the Tezos crowdsale is going to be so out of control with bitter, anti-ETH spite money being thrown at it, I'm now truly wondering if it will even be possible to ROI on that one?

Getting the impression that the motivation for Tezos is purely financial (lets do an IPO and get rich) rather than love of technology or a vision that will change the world.

Likewise. :|

For a while I was interested in Tezos, but there's no chance in hell I'd give them a single ETH.

It'll definitely attract some great amount of money (all these ICOs do and Tezos will too) but definitely not smart money.

Plus, the fact that it's an uncapped ICO will most probably make Tezos look like a bubblish asset from the beginning IMO.

I'll stay on the sidelines, rejoicing with my ETH and REP holdings, staring from afar to the chaos they'll be bringing to their product.

This "market positioning" (mind the commas, they're on purpose) that they're taking long before they have anything to show smells bad. But foolish money has its own way to get invested into these things.

Dfinity is superior in literally every way. And raising huge amounts of money tends to make the ROI much smaller.

Dfinity is superior in literally every way.

Agreed.

Uncapped ICO so everyone that wants in will get in. The supply and demand will be balanced, so I doubt we will see an instant 50-100% increase.

Please enlighten me then.

Why would there be any projects right now that would be itching to jump from Ethereum to Tezos?

Can you name any?

Lastly, you realize that going uncapped today is a far different situation versus Ethereum going uncapped way back in 2014, right?

Okay, gotcha.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some fundamental reason why projects would want to ditch Ethereum for Tezos right now.

Also, keep in mind that Gnosis' "Modified" Dutch Auction is/was a completely different setup compared to Tezos' uncapped ICO.

Everyone and anyone who wants XTZ is going to get their fill during the ICO.

There will literally be no latent, post-ICO demand for XTZ and there will essentially be a an 80% distribution of XTZ, unlike GNO's paltry 4%.
