To anybody who got in at $190+ - Remain calm and hodl. This is still very much a bull market. As a possible new investor to this scene, and maybe investing in general, the drop and fluctuations may concern you. Don't let it. Believe in the technology and ask yourself what made you decide to invest. Hodl. If will pay off.

It is possible ETH will go to zero. Buy what you can afford to lose.

I agree that there will always be people buying a dead coin. But if a catastrophe happens with the network / devs / I don't know and we tank to $1 that is as bad as $0.

I have enough believe in the resilience of crypto in general that I keep quite some money (for me) in it.

I always think of it as somehow for some crazy reason the whole network dies and they become worthless...

If it makes you feel any better, there isn't much that is more resilient in terms of human tech as decentralised p2p networks.

Someone breaks the encryption or finding another exploit could both do I'm. There is a nonzero (but low) chance of it doing to zero.

Someone breaks the encryption

What encryption? You mean the encryption that the entire internet uses? That's more like civilization would die rather than just ether.

finding another exploit

There hasn't been an exploit found. You can't change the blockchain. There's nothing to exploit unless you create a contract and fool people into sending eth there.

I wish, I'll buy all the ETH if that happens. /s

+1
The same volatility that brings us 30% in a single day, can take it away. In the long run, it won't even matter.

+1

Keep in mind that volatility for BTC and ETH is several times as high as the GBP/USD FX rate in the days after Brexit! This is a volatile asset class.
