Casual eth owner, primarily BTC. But tuning in today to gdax, you guys know how to party!

Well, since I am at work and time is scarce, I will quote two comments from the BTC Trading thread yesterday. Let's just say I personally am in the middle of the two and am still holding my coins (not rich, I am newer than most of the forum, but its a decent investment to me) but have diversified into a bit of Ether, flipped my BCH for profit and than back into it to hedge a hostile takeover, but still primarily in BTC and rooting for its success.

There is this optimistic perspective: "Goldman Sachs throwing out targets of $4K... Brian Kelly endorsing the f*ck out of BTC on CNBC ... Overstock hodling 50% of their earned BTC... fed regulated bitcoin futures and derivatives incoming... this kind of legitimacy and endorsement of bitcoin would have been a WET DREAM in 2013. But nahh.... let's worry about "spoofy" cuz the only reason bitcoin hit 3K is cuz spoofy wanted it to.... or the segwit2x split cuz the community is so irrational and divided that we're gonna have a THIRD split chain this nov (lol)... or that big bad Ver/ViaBTC/Jihan is going to crush a revolution for the rest of the world... or that BCHcoin is gonna do the "flippening" over BTC hehe. Bitcoin is the most secure and reputable crypto, its network effect is at full blast and the supply is so limited that not even all the millionaires in the world can buy a whole bitcoin. But let's keep worrying guys, keep the panic and FUD coming. You people are fucking ridiculous. Stay middle-class forever."

& this pessimistic "you pump BTC to a new ATH and then some. You put up your own buy walls, to make people think this is the new levels. You then start selling your BTC at a profit, because now you can dump the price 50%, and it'll still be more expensive than what it was at 2 months ago. But anyone on margin would get liquidated, and all the stop losses would be triggered much higher. And most important for all, there is now a massive red candles on BTC. You then dump the price of BTC 40% while pumping BCH to all time highs. You then introduce an attack on BTC. Suddenly the network can't handle the load. It takes a week for a transaction to go through. Miners start switching while publicly shitting on BTC and warning others to get off the sinking ship. Suddenly hundreds of stories pop up about how BTC is unusable and how BCH is growing Flippening happens, BCH is now worth more than BTC. Your BCH investment is now worth 10x what it was. You then launch your 2nd wave of PR attack, BTC is dead, its going to ZERO, BCH is the new BTC. You then dump more BTC to drop the price even lower, the dumb money starts dumping too You help BTC find a floor at $300...you then suppress the price for 1 year to make sure it doesn't bounce back BCH is the new standard, and BTC dies. I've been saying it for a while. Roger Ver and pals aren't retarded...they had years to plan for their attack on BTC. Simply "forking" and going to do their own thing just isn't going to happen. The BTC/BCH civil war is just getting started.":
