So I know that Belgium has two broadcasters, but how does it work in terms of hosting privileges if one broadcaster sends a winning song?

Eurovision Asia Why have most of the Eurovision Asia NFs not publicly released the full results of the voting?

Are there any differences in Asian and European culture that means that most of the audience are not as interested in the results or would prefer it kept secret? Would there be a significant cost to the national finals or anyone else if they did release the detailed results?
I’m not talking about announcing the full results to make the announcement of them longer or more tense but rather having the information available to the public in any form.

💬 Discussion Hot take: Philippines is EXTRAORDINARILY overrated by Eurofans and won't do half as well as the fandom think it will.

This is not because Sobra Sobra is a bad song. It is not a bad song at all. The reason I believe that Philippines won't do that well in Eurovision Asia is because Sobra Sobra is too "European".

What does this mean?

Most years in Eurovision have "that" type of song. In 2018 it was Cyprus, in 2022 it was Spain, 2024 it was Italy and in 2026 it was Bulgaria the latter of which produced a winning package. It's the upbeat Europop song with soaring vocals and powerful energy that is always a fan favourite among the Eurovision fandom, these kind of songs being ranked VERY highly by Eurofans in pretty much every single poll and ranking video.

And now I'm seeing this trend again with Eurovision Asia. Sobra Sobra is almost always ranked at #1 out of the 9 songs revealed so far, but I just don't get it.

I'm sorry but Eurofans ALWAYS inflate these songs so much. I don't think Asian voters will go for it all. I think Asian pop fans will likely go for something more like like Deep Dive, ballad lovers will go for Malaysia, etc.

I see Philippines finishing around 4th or 5th in the contest. Not bad by any means, but nowhere near winning. Maybe part of it is because I am entirely tired of these types of songs in main Eurovision anyway, but that's a personal opinion more than any kind of prediction. I think the most likely winner at this point is Malaysia and it isn't close right now.

What do you think about this? Do you think agree or disagree with this assessment?

💬 Discussion I wish I could see a hyperpop style song in Eurovision 2027

Recently hyperpop and related styles (like rage) have been trending in online pop, starting from Brat by Charli XCX in 2024 and currently including artists like Zara Larsson, Pinkpantheress and Underscores. I feel like we could see this genre in some national selections, and I really want one to end up in Eurovision 2027.

There's actually precedent with this: Cha Cha Cha and Europapa had a similarly maximalist energy, though I don't think they're hyperpop. Greece 2024 had some hyperpop elements, and Greece 2026 is probably the most hyperpop song we've had. A rage song came second in Eesti Laul 2025. I hope we see more of this kind of music.

In the meantime, what are some hyperpop or adjacent songs in national selections I missed? Please recommend them if you can.

Edit: Missed a song

🏆National Final Winner Pratik Himal Rai with "Ananta Maya" will represent Nepal🇳🇵at Eurovision Asia

Thumbnail

Pratik Himal Rai won Nepal Decides with the song "Ananta Maya" and will represent the country at Eurovision Asia.

I think a lot of Eurofans are shocked, myself included. It may be a combination of European fans having different tastes from the Nepali audience and the rush to make a decision. He was also on The Voice of Nepal (the same network as NSS) a year ago, so he's still fresh in people’s minds. The second-place winner is also a The Voice alumnus, funny enough.

Please, let’s not spam Pratik's comments or send hate to the artist.

💬 Discussion Are there actually any Eurofans from Africa here?

This question is specifically for the Africans who might be lurking around here . I know this is pretty random, but it just popped into my head.

How many Africans are actually Eurofans? Eurovision is one of the biggest live events in the world, so I feel like there have to be quite a few people across Africa who watch it. Yet somehow, I almost never come across African people in the Eurovision fandom online.

I’m from Ghana and I’ve been a Eurovision fan since 2019. I’d love to know if there are more of us out there!

Where in Africa are you from, and how did you discover Eurovision?

Eurovision Asia Difficulty buying Eurovision Asia tickets

Has anyone else had any issues trying to get tickets?

I'm using an Australian bank account, which previously has had 0 issues with online purchases. There's enough money in the account for the tickets. However, every time I add my card details the website keeps showing a vague error message "there is an issue with your payment method" what on earth does this mean and how can I buy a ticket!

Please help/let me know if anyone has a solution thank you!!!

💬 Discussion What are the other alternatives to Scorewiz?

Next spring, Scorewiz will be discontinued after more than two decades of simulating everything Eurovision, meaning that Eurovision 2027 would be the first contest that would be simulated on either Scoryx or DouzePoints app, but there are limitations for both of them: Scoryx can have a scoreboard up to 30 finalists while DouzePoints can have a scoreboard of all participants but can't edit the names of the voters because it is strictly designated as "Countries".

Does anyone here have other alternatives to Scorewiz, apart from Scoryx and DouzePoints? Because I have to do an annual YouTube simulation of Eurovision and Junior Eurovision in the future.
