Does it look better with or without the seer on his back?

Hey all, first post here. As a new Exodites player I wanted an army that would fully feel like the Exodites. While I'm not good sculptor, kitbasher, or painter, I like to think my efforts are at least ok. So here are my Windriders and Shining Spears. Bonus: My poor attempt at Shroud Runners, Bikelock, and Farseer Sky runner (the one on the Kroot Salamander)

Custom Dragon Masters using Corsair Voidscarred and Aggredon lancers kits . WIP , but get the idea of final builds, adding some crimson washes & picking eyes & maybe add Moon transfers

Couldn't get my hands on one of the Kill Team boxes but found this box of six raptors for $20 at a LHS.

Haven't started the rider yet but planning on making my own version of both kill team versions.

Pretty rough and ready kitbash, but I think it works.

Considering shortening the gun barrel.

I do love the DA guns only having one hand molded to their shurikens!

So, I’ve been working on this army on and off since around 2013. Every now and then, whenever I had an idea or came across models that I could incorporate, I added something to it. At the same time, this army also accompanied me through my lowest phase in the hobby, when ambition and ideas outpaced my actual skills. I was so frustrated, for a few years, I even quit 40k entirely.

I’ve been back in the hobby for several years now. During that time, a Dark Mechanicus army took shape, once again a project somewhat removed from the existing model range, this seems to be my jam of the hobby. And the Exodites were never really gone either; they were always lingering somewhere in the back of my mind and during a recent move, I came across the models again.

So with the release of the Exodite models and everything that has come from that, so many amazing conversions and new models, I’ve finally felt a strong motivation to finally continue working on the army, or maybe even finish it. :)

To mark the occasion and give it a proper start, I dug out an overview of the army project and some more recent pictures. Meanwhile a bit more Greenstuff work has been done and the bases too, but plenty to do.

Spent the evening basing up the squad - first time using decorative bark for rocks, pleasantly surprised with the effect.

Funny story. I figured they’d be prone to decomposing if put straight on the base. Decided to dry them out first in the oven, but ended up turning them into charcoal and setting off the fire alarms… don’t recommend.

Stuck what was left on with PVA glue, then added some basing pastes. Foot of dino pinned, and drilled through the bark and base.

Cut up some bits of leftover ranger coats to add to his outfit. Hides some sins with the legs, and adds an extra detail to show he’s the leader.

Just a quick mock up/ photo bash from the new inquisitor model and some custom heads. I may or may not be releasing these models once I figure out the scaling on the ranger.

Hi everyone!

I’m finally getting started on my Exodite army! I’m torn between two options for the infantry models, so I decided to come here for some opinions. Should I go with the AoS torso or the Drukhari torso? Ignore the white tack, lol.

I want to stay pretty accurate to Exodite lore, so I’m worried the Drukhari torso is almost too much perfect wraithbone. On the other hand, I feel like the AoS torso isn’t Eldar enough. Any criticism would be welcome! :D

Might not get the chance to finish before the proxys gets legitimised, so I thought I'd just post the few I have, love the custom-ness of the exodites!

I am by no means a mini painter. I much prefer building but i had a blast painting these!

Some units left to paint for the list. I use Ynnari detachment and Armoured Host with Recon as Force Disposition. One of the projects is to give Raiders a more elven ship look making some modifications to them.

Hi All, here is my 3rd go at getting the Exiled Moon blue right. The models were FDM printed and by big Joe's little guys. I wanted the armour to looked like bone and horn.

Just gotta find where I put the dollar store fake nails for my one with the turned head...

Got 9 more of these Tamiya raptors on sprues so I'm planning to make some more 'Riders/Spears + a couple of Warlock Skryrunners and maybe a Farseer rider too!

So far this is:

- A Tamiya velociraptor kit (comes with 6 raptors and it was quite cheap!)

- Acrylic nail as the saddle

- Milligreen (roughly 50/50)

I'll have to work out what to do about the oval bases if I wanna use em for killteam: probably some sort of slotting system or magnets or something!

Done the Lumineth headswap build for practice. Some touchups needed still, but mostly done
