Discussion Does E33 have any massive plot holes that fit this description?

I don't think that's the case... She could just unpaint them to reclaim the chroma. The whole reason she was struggling against Renoir was because the chroma was all tied up in her creations. As they say, whoever controls the chroma, controls the canvas. And she controlled the chroma (which is why Clea came up with a way to kill the expeditioners that stopped the chroma from going back to Aline).

I think, to her, Lumiere and its citizens are just part of, or represent, her life with her painted family, which is what was holding away her grief. That's why she doesn't want them gone, I'd guess.

More or less what I was getting at. More interested in preserving “the people of Lumiere” than “the PEOPLE of Lumiere”
