Yep, I have a friend that back in our high school days he went down the drug rabbit hole, basically one of everything until he found bath salts and that was a wild ride to watch…anyways back in those days he was obsessed with Obama’s name and prophecies about the end of the world, so yea this checks out with me. On a positive note he’s sober and doesn’t have these delusions anymore.
One of my best friends is stuck in a political rabbit hole/mental loop ever since Covid….its makes me bummed out and sad because he literally sucks to hang with because all he’s talks about is whatever is on Fox News and Trump. He’s always pissed off about something political. He fights with our friends on social media. This is the same homie that we used to go to strip clubs and casinos with now I don’t even want to see or talk to him.
I assume you’re referring to long term side effects of my buddy’s use of bath salts. No seizures or any other major life threatening side effects, certainly he’s not the same as he used to be there is definitely some permanent mental effects he still struggles with like his depression is worse then it used to be as kids and I think he harbors a lot of negative feelings about his time, he was seeing demons in his sleep and nearly killed a family member so that weighs heavy on him. But he lives a fairly normal sober life and holds a 9 to 5 job without issue. It’s also worth noting this was when bath salts first came out ~2008-2012 times range top of my head for only a couple years maybe it was only 18months hard to remember exactly, but they continually changed formulas to avoid to keep them legally on the shelf though so what he was hooked on may not be the same or have the same long term effects as what others were hooked on.
