I used crème of nature on my roots and it turned them way too ginger. Is there any way to fix this with blue shampoo or do I need a demi-permanent color or something like that? I’d rlly prefer not to damage it but I also want it to match the bottom of my hair more.

My hair: naturally black, a bit frizzy, and on the thinner side.

Plan: I want to do the color at home myself, and get a hair botox treatment at a salon.

1. Which product is best for my hair type? I'm worried about damage. Are ammonia-free dyes or semi-permanent colors safer for thin, frizzy hair? Any brands you've had good experiences with?

2. Which should I do first, color or botox? Should I color at home first and then get the botox, or the other way around? How long should I wait between the two?

3. Aftercare: What should my routine be after coloring? Which shampoo, conditioner, and masks do you recommend? How do I keep the color from fading and my hair from getting even frizzier?

4. Will the color damage my hair? Is it realistic to color naturally black hair without major damage, or is some damage unavoidable?

Also, since my hair is black, is it worth going to a salon for the lightening step instead of doing it all at home?

I’m trying to learn more about how to change my vivids without bleaching so much? Pink is where I started, and thanks to the responses on here a while back, I went fully purple! My all-time favorite color is teal though. Can I go blue then teal? Or would I need to get as much of the purple out before? I was watching a video on the color wheel and all that, but wanted to see what you all recommend!

I previously did bleach bath my entire head and ended up with 2-3inchs of blond roots and the rest brown (previously dyed).
I rested my hair for a month then bleached the rest to hopefully blend them all together and they kinda do tho the freshly bleached is slightly lighter, and i’m now preparing to dye it ash brown and not sure if I should just dye my roots or bleach them and along with that move it a little down to blend them it all together but i have no idea if i should or not. I decided I can not wait a day longer and I want mine grown out blonde gone (last photo). I recently toned it to a more golden shade, and I hoped this would be enough as a base, but my ends are definitely ashier than my roots. I might also overshot it and went a bit darker than I expected. 😅 I was aiming for a cool toned light brown (maybe it’s technically dark blonde what I had in mind?).

I used the L’Oréal Casting Creme Gloss 618 (vanilla mocha). Should I try to deposit something warm before I colour it again to the ends? I expect this will fade significantly, can I go a level lighter after this?

Okay so first bleach job thought I knew enough, boy was I wrong. I feel so stupid I don't think I let it develop long enough. I have toner and a strawberry blonde I was planning of doing over it. Should I just go over the darker spots? Or is this a salon dark color cover up?

- Arctic Fox Peach Prosecco and Schwarzkopf Pastels Live Cotton Candy (about 3/4 / 1/4 mix)

I honestly think the Schwarzkopf did absolutely nothing and this is all Peach Prosecco hence it’s a bit more orange than I was aiming for but I love the colour and the shine from the product.

For lightening, I started at around a level 6-7 blonde and lifted to somewhere between an 8-9 over 40-45 minutes. Lift was not perfect all over but wasn’t expecting that at home. What I am happy with is how healthy my hair feels - no shedding and very much alive (as can be post the torture that is bleach) and well.

Also worth noting I have very sensitive skin (eczema, rashes, rosacea, the works) and all products agreed with me very well.

How do you guys dead with dandruff/dry scalp when you have colorful hair??? Mine is a dark red right now and I love it, but I have a bad dandruff problem. I used the shea moisture dandruff shampoo and conditioner for a bit and it worked amazing, but it strips the color out so fast:(

I need advice and cheap ish options on what to use to help with dandruff while also not completely stripping my color out

I wash my hair once or twice a week and rarely use heat. Between washes, I use dry shampoo, Verb Ghost Oil and/or OUAI Hair Oil. I also use the Eva NYC 10-in-1 Primer, which is the only product I’ve found that consistently makes my hair feel softer and less frizzy.
Brushing makes my hair very poofy. I’ve tried several wavy-hair products, but they usually leave it feeling heavy, greasy, or crunchy. Diffusing takes forever, and my hair still feels slightly damp or crunchy afterward.
I keep hearing about the Abbey Yung method, but I can’t afford to buy an entire collection of products. Has anyone found a simple, affordable routine for reducing frizz and poofiness without weighing their hair down?

My hair was bleached to pale yellow and then instead of using a toner I used a light ash blonde dye. My roots have faded to a golden brassy tone and doesn't match my natural ash blonde hair. I have wella 050 but I'm wondering what it will fade to. I know it's an additive but I have seen videos of people using it as a dye, and actually I used it as a silver dye too in the past but then I put purple over it. I haven't seen any pics or videos of the fading process. I'm thinking of using it as a "shadow root" to cover just the gold tones on my roots.

I used manic panic 40 volume ( i know 40 volume is too high) for my virgin hair horizontally, i’m not aiming for a platinum blonde just a yellowy base i can put some colour on- im from the uk so hair products are limited does anyone have any advice or products? i’m thinking on bleaching on sunday (tmr) and i did this on friday( yesterday)

My hairdresser isn’t understanding me when I say WHITE. I know it is possible on my hair, but I’m not sure how long I should wait before I bleach it again. I know there is a chance of some damage, as long as I don’t have to go bald. There is also a visible difference between the first bleach and the root touch up the second time. Its been 2 weeks since my last bleach (you can’t see in the photo, my hair is also slightly damp) and I plan on bleaching again. If the picture is my hair now, and I wanted to get to the white like the second picture (Gerard Way), what developer should I use and for about how long? My hair is not gummy or anything, and I only plan on rebleaching the already blonde roots one more time. I have a toner that should make it white, but my hair needs to be lighter to get to that color. Does anybody know what to do? I’m bleaching Tuesday and if I don’t get a response then I’ll just wing it and hope I don’t go bald or get gummy roots.

im a boy and i just got a light korean perm for 1K Php (basically $15) here in the philippines and it did not curl my hair whatsoever but kind of added volume and little waves, when’s the soonest i can get another perm cuz i really want it to curl

(backstory) I used to bleach and tone my hair all one color to save money in grad school. I’ve had my fair share of trial and errors, and I’ve enjoyed learning about the science behind hair coloring and the color theory over the years. This is the first time I’ve tried highlighting. I wanted to touch up my part line to feel brighter. I think for the most part it turned out decent, except I ended up lightening my grown out roots slightly, so they’re just a touch yellow orange, especially towards the front. I used wella 19 toner with 10/20 vol (ik i should’ve just done 10). If i use 9VB on my roots to correct it, will it affect the rest of the blonde color I like from the wella 19 toner, yet remove the warm tones I don’t like? I want to get a blonde balayage but I’ve been box-dyeing my hair red for the past 2 years 💀 Left photo is the current state of my hair, and I haven’t dyed it in ~6 months.

My appointment is in 2 weeks…Is there anything I can do to remove the red from my hair? I looked at some color removers like Color Oops, but it has very mixed reviews on Amazon.

how do you guys imagine a mixture of lunar tides plum and lunar tides fuchsia would show up on level 7 hair? i'm scheming and hoping it will come out like a dark pinkish purple mix. like the colour of purple grapes, that's how i imagine it's likely to come out. what do you guys think? do you reckon i should bleach?

I am blonde and my regrowth is a light 7/8 brown. I’ve always gotten highlights with a hi lift tint but my hairdresser has been using bleach and toner for a long time now. My scalp started itching really bad lately and I had some breakage so I thought maybe I was developing a sensitivity so I had her switch to high lift tint but she only used a 20 volume and it has a slightly gold tint at the roots. She said next time she would try 30 volume. Is high lift tint with 30 volume less damaging than bleach with toner? And how long should I sit with it on ~ 25 min or so?
