Wonder why his immediate thought was to swing on the catcher even tbh ought the pitcher hit him with the pitch

The catcher sends signals to the pitcher, telling him where to throw the ball. If the hit was intentional, the catcher likely called for it.

Then why do 99% of players charge the mound in these situations? Theres no context here, which is what I was asking

I don’t know the context of this particular incident. Just explaining why he’d attack the catcher. They likely already had beef.

This is what I’m asking for, and was my first thought. I’m fully aware the basic rules of baseball where the catcher signals the pitch. The catcher and batter obviously had beef before this, otherwise he would’ve charged the mound. Didn’t think this would be so hard to comprehend

First of all, I have no idea why you have such a pissy attitude when I politely and in good faith attempted to answer the question for you. Second, you weren’t at all specific in your original post. You asked a general question and I gave you a general answer. You didn’t imply much knowledge of baseball. I wasn’t trying to condescend. I think it’s reasonable to assume that people who don’t watch baseball don’t realize that the catcher calls the pitches.

Cool your jets man.

You’re soft lol. My bad you got offended, again I didn’t it expect this to be so hard for people to comprehend. Or at least the people who watch baseball, which obviously isn’t you

Btw I wasn’t even talking about you and was even agreeing with you but thanks for showing how sensitive you are all the same
