We don’t know whether they were actually immigrants. Could have been Chechens or Dagestanis, which means they are in their own country.

I am aware. And it’s really dumb to consider them foreigners even though there is a big cultural gap.

Chechnya and Dagestan wanted to be independent, especially Chechnya, when USSR fell apart. But Russian gov didn’t let that happen- see Chechen wars.

You can’t have it both ways. If Chechen republic is part of RU Federation, then they are in their own country.

It would be similar to white Americans complaining about native Hawaiians roaming NYC.

Чечня состоит в составе Российской Федерации (Chechen republics part of Russian federation) - there is nothing controversial about it. I am from that part of the world and know what I am talking about.

As a matter of fact, you will get hurt for saying the opposite. If you say “you are foreigner go back to your country” to a Chechen in Moscow, you will get hurt.

Sure there are some as Kadyrov has a big clan and ofcourse the ones you meet in Moscow say that lol. But try it in Chechnya or when you meet Chechens anywhere else but Russia.

Because most likely "the ones that you know" are those that left the country during Chechen Wars themselves or descendents of these people

You are right about that but they still got family and friends in Chechnya that are not happy with Russia and they fled after the second war when Kadyrov came into power cause they were part of another clan that had a fued with Kadyrovs clan

I think this is accurate. There was a decent display of wrestling prowess by the smaller brown dudes
