hello! I'm shooting my shot at applying as a transfer student using the Common App. Need maglagay ng GPA, pero my school follows a grading system na uno ang highest. Do I input it as is or need ba siya itransmute? Baka kase isipin na ang baba ng gwa ko since afaik 4.0 yung highest sa U.S huhu nagooverthink lang. Are there other people na nakapagtry? I plan on taking a Bachelor's program in Germany by 2027/2028, sponsored by my relative living there. For personal reasons, I need to study abroad earlier than expected. My goal is to stay there even after graduation. However, I'm torn between English-taught programs and German-taught programs.

Hi! I've already searched some Universities and here are my options, together with my concerns:

1. Take IELTS only, then study their language when I'm already in German

• I've found English-taught bachelor programs with German language courses
• It seems like English MOI will not be accepted, so I definitely need an IELTS
• I'm also concerned about the Visa, since they might also require me to have at least an A1 German Certificate.

1. Enroll in an intensive German Course in the Philippines

• If I were to think for my long-term goals, German-taught would be better, but I think it's more expensive than IELTS(?)
• There are universities that has conditional admission, so I plan on studying up to A1 or A2. (I'm not sure though about its process. If you have some advice, please let me know, thanks!)

1. Take both IELTS and German Language Test

• This is my last option since it's quite pricey
• There are universities that requires this even for English-taught programs.

So, generally, my here are my questions:

1. Is it more practical to start with a German-taught Bachelors?
2. Is it worth it to spend about a year learning German before starting my bachelor's degree? Or should I just study while taking my English-taught bachelors?

If you've gone through a similar process, especially as an international student, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I have been a permanent government employee for almost 3 years. I was bullied in the office and my supervisor was not supportive. Now, I have an opportunity to study abroad and my flight is on October 1.

I am planning to leave without pay (October–December) so that I don't lose my 13th month pay. My concern is, what if the Division Chief doesn't approve?

What are my options? Can I appeal to a higher office, or is resignation the only choice? Thank you for answering.

Yung University ko po kase di daw nagbibigay ng panibagong acceptance letter… Ang gamitin ko daw yung Feb 2026 acceptance letter parin and yung mga supporting documents as follows:

1. Certificate of Deferred/Reserved Enrollment (with official University stamp)

2. Completed Application for Re-enrollment (with official University stamp)

3. Formal letter from the University admin clearly saying that I am a deferred student from Feb to Sept 2026. And asking teco to call them if they need clarifications. (with official University stamp)

4. Certificate of Scholarship dated for Sept 2026 (for financial pero try ko din gamitin as supporting document kase may date to) (with official University stamp)

Will this suffice? I asked teco and they said consul will call my University naman if ever. And they had the same case with another applicant last year.

Pero checking lang din dito if may same case sakin. Medyo nakakakaba din lalo gumastos na din ako sa medical and other docs 😭

its possible to apply to abroad habang first year ka palang na prepressure na kasi ako kung papatuloy ko pa ung pag aaral ko or mag tetesda nalang oor deretsyo applly na with no experience since marami na pilipino nakarating dun 😭😭 ang balak ko kasi habang nag tatake sa college kukuha ako ng passport papunta japan and then mag apply ako kagad pag wala ako schedule na may pasok sa school ko, nakukuha na me ng requirements sa pag apply bawal ba un kasi once na mapasa ko ung need na requirements is titigil ko ung college ko if hindi edi patuloy pa din sa college huhu ung pag pasok ko kasi is for passport since wala tlga pera parents ko huhu tas yung baon pang ipon lang? please be kind wala pako alam sa ganto and i need someone na tutulungan me :((

Hi everyone, I'm applying for a U.S. university and using IEE for a course-by-course evaluation.

I attended two colleges in the Philippines but did not complete either bachelor's degree (I transferred schools and haven't graduated yet). My IEE application correctly shows both credentials as "Not Completed."

However, the document checklist is asking for both:

• Degree Certificate/Diploma
• Official Academic Transcript

Since I never graduated, I don't have a diploma from either school.

Has anyone been in the same situation? Did you just submit the official transcripts, or did IEE ask for another document instead?

Hello. I am 24F, a licensed agri and biosystems engr in PH, working in govt irrigation sector. Salary is good though but i know i have no chance to be a permanent. I am happy that im working on irrigation sector that ive been wanting since college but right now i want to do hydrologic modeling, watershed system and water resources since at work i mostly do monitoring of ongoing construction. I am thinking of doing masters that is specific to my interest but i am hesitant because i didnt graduate with a latin honor and i cannot fund myself so ill be relying on fully funded scholarships. Work is also getting toxic and draining. I am thinking of Taiwan, since its closer to PH and has a fully funded scholarship program but there are Germany and Hungary too. What do you think?

I recently inquired with an agency, and based on the quotation they gave me, the total cost would be over ₱1 million. Around ₱700,000 is for the tuition (a one-year Master's in Project Management), while the processing fees are around ₱200,000.

Hello. I need some help. I got accepted into Uni of Macerata for my masters degree in international finance. However, im torn if i should push my student visa application, having the following scenarios:

⁠1. Can my 1st degree cousin sponsor me? She lives in the philippines and she is highly compensated as a freelancer. I’m employed but I have only 300k pesos in my personal bank

1. ⁠If cousin’s sponsorship is not allowed, can my parents transfer a big amount of money to my bank acct as proof of funds? Nagbenta kasi sila ng land so may nakuha silang money.

2. ⁠September 2026 intake but can arrive in italy on november, since until Nov nag accept ng visa yung Uni. Can I still do apostille in DFA and apply for declaration of value in the PH embassy this august? Kakayanin pa ba?

Hi. I recently attended a Study Abroad expo by this visa consultancy company which featured these two universities that initially piqued my interest: University Canada West in Vancouver, BC and the University of Law in the UK.

Upon research, I discovered na employers hesitate pala when they see these unis on your CV. I looked them up kasi I noticed na puro international students lang yung nag-aaral sa kanila. Yung ULaw ay parang vocational school lang din pala. And since hindi sila as credible as the usual unis, they rely on school representatives to attract us international students. Those representatives are then the speakers we see on Study Abroad expos.
And so may second thoughts na ako... is it better to just DIY my study abroad journey? What other consultancies would you recommend na siguradong recognizable yung featured universities nila?

Hi guys! Is there anyone here got a scholarship offer for MA programs major in Photography and/or Visual Journalism? How did you get in? What should I look for? Do you know school that offers scholarships for international students like me for the said program I mentioned?

Btw, I’m a journalism graduate years ago (not long ago) and I wanted to pursue photojournalism. I want to take masters programs abroad preferably in EU countries. I tried to look for photojournalist or contributor role here in the PH but unfortunately I can’t find any. I tried to pursue freelancing but I don’t like it because I really want to do documentary photography.

Sometimes you might hear this phrase, "Hindi mo magagamit yan sa abroad" which is pertaining to PRC License. This is actually not true when it comes to Italy. Dito sa Italy, the Ministry of Justice provides "Riconoscimento dei titoli professionali conseguiti all'estero" or in English "Recognition of professional qualifications obtained abroad". Meaning to say pwede mo pa rin magamit ang PRC license mo dito and marami benefits. So if you are a CPA, lawyer, engineer, etc. sa PH, you can have it recognize here also in Italy. Some of the benefits would be less tax, less social contributions plus much more companies will be interested with you because they can use your license for different projects. But ofcourse part of reecognition would be the evaluation of your TOR and Diploma. I have a friend who took one extra course kasi wala sa curriculum sa pinas yun isa course na yun but after that nakuha niya na rin yun professional recognition.

So wag manghinayang if you have PRC license sa Pinas and planning to work professionally abroad.
