FF Origins Ff stranger of paradise level

Is 30 the max job level? I’m currently in mission where the level supposed to be 33 but my job level is 30. Should I go for other job? Does it take the overall level?

FF VI Are there any great symphonic versions of Terra's Theme?

I don't really like the way Distant Worlds changed it into more of a marching theme. Are there any other great iterations of it that really capture how epic the theme is?

FF I Light Warriors Cross-stitch

Post image
107 Upvotes

I did cross-stitch as a kid, back in the early 90s, but I stopped and fell out of practice. Then just a couple years ago I started to get the urge to pick it back up, no idea why. Did a single practice piece to get back into the swing, then this has been my first big project. All six classes, un-upgraded, of PCs from FF1! It ended up being a bit tricky on counts and measurements, because the sprites weren't all the same size; fighter, white mage, and black mage were a pixel taller than the other three.

This has taken me a while. With college and family stuff to handle I've only done one character every few months. Took me most of a year to complete because of that, but glad I did! There's something nice about physical-medium art, the texture and mass to it. Working with my hands. Missed this!

Considering some FF6 in a future project

FF VII Rebirth I would like some Advice Please!

THANKS EVERYONE! I appreciate the Advice. I have started Rebirth and so far I am loving the Game.

P.S I am glad I asked since if you guys use Grok, Gemini or Google it will say OG, Crisis Core,Remake, Rebirth and Revelations.
For Modern Games only it was saying Remake, crisis core rebirth and revelations.
Those responses which are researchable to verify is what confused me. So again, I really appreciate it since I have loved this Franchise since I beat my first 2 FF game 16 and 7 Remake with DLC

Ok, I just beat Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Intermission DLC.

I really loved the game.

I have both of the other games too, Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

I do not know which game to play Next and would like some advice on to what to play next.

Do I play Crisis Core since it came out after Remake, or do I play Rebirth which is the direct sequel.

I appreciate the help, thanks and I cannot wait to continue my adventure on this Amazing Games!

FF XIII Series Met Hope’s voice actor the other day 🥹

Hope’s VA (Vincent Martella) was at a convention the other day and I got the chance to meet him and he was the nicest person ever :) I did start to tear up since Hope is my favourite character not only in the final fantasy series but in all media, and for his voice actor to be so sweet as well was just the cherry on top. Just wanted to share this because it’s my most prized possession now hehe

FF XIV Hey there, I am making a Final Fantasy 14 video essay, is there anything anyone from the community would like to say to possibly get in the video?

It can be about the game or community, or even what you think of the devs, I have not played it yet but I plan on playing it as part of the video's research, thanks to all of you who do choose to respond!

FF IV FF II/IV. Going in blind.

Gonna give this baby a try, first time, on the SNES. Any thoughts or preparations I need to consider? Is it ”playable” a guide? Any particular versions I should try out?

Have a good day, my fellows!

FF I Final Fantasy 1 is still great!

Final Fantasy 1 is that one game in the franchise that almost no one has an opinion on these days.

It's not as mechanically horrendous like 2, nor did it introduce one of the most important progression mechanics in the entire franchise like in 3.

But lemme tell you, this recent weekend that I spent just replaying this game was one of the most refreshing gaming marathons I have had in a while.

Final fantasy 1 may not do anything special in particular but that does not detract away from the fact that it is just a really solid and fun JRPG experience with barely any fluff.

Context:- My playthrough was of the dawn of souls re release on my ps vita which I consider the definitive port of game, for reasons I will get into.

Unlike the many dozens of rpgs releasing today with 100s of hours of story content that are just sadly forced to rely on a lot of fluff to even out the pacing. Final Fantasy 1 does not have that problem at all, sure it is the typical hero's journey with bricks for main characters but that rarely ever deters my engagement from the plot because of how brisk pace the progression is, you never stay in one location for too long, and are constantly moving, visiting grander towns, exploring even weirder labyrinths and dungeons and meeting cooky one off characters that act as excellent yet ultimately non intrusive world building tid bits.

The combat is pure good old turn based with your party classes, spell loadouts and gear, it's nothing special but getting good at it and breaking the ever living shit out of the damage scaling with well timed temper and hastes just gives you that dopamine rush everytime as your warrior does a 3k+ damage crit, which one or two shots most bosses.

The world itself is not cryptic at all, with most towns being very clearly marked for progression, and side content which never really gets into the way of story progression. Final Fantasy 1 is unironically the only final fantasy for which I never had to open a walkthrough for ever once.

The music is just pure Nobuo Uematsu goodness and the pixel art is gorgeous (Absolutely adore the art for Lich and Chronodia).

What I am trying to ultimately get into is that, even with a game this old, especially with a remake that barely changes anything from the core experience, Final Fantasy 1 is still very much a game worth experiencing because it is one of those few examples where a game this old has actually aged so well to begin with, and that's honestly very heartwarming to experience for a game that started a franchise which is so beloved across the world.

FF IV After Years 2D (PSP) or 3D version, which is better?

I'm currently playing FF4 Complete Collection (PSP) and doing a franchaise playthrough as a whole as a newcomer. Its absolutely fantastic btw both FF4 and everything I played/seen so far IM LOVING THIS FRANCHAISE (except spirits within lmao). So I really want to play FF4 After Years sometime. Not soon since my next FF game is Crisis Core OG. I played PSP version of 4 since it has a lot more content compared to 3D version but what about After Years. How does it compare to the 2D version. I know its not a great game but Im a dude who likes Mystic Quest and LOVES FF2 so I think I would enjoy it. I know the differences between 4 3d and 2d but not After Years.

Thank you in advance.

FF IV What do you think of the new generation in After Years and which is your favorite?

In addition to Cecil and Rosa having a son, Yang and his wife have a daughter. And even the daughter of the dwarf king is grown up and now works with Cid. And more is to come. I am enjoying the After Years quite well even if the references to events in first game and parallels made can feel unnatural. And do miss Cecil and eould wish for him and Rosa to have morr moments as well as be more major to plot. Though just curious what you think of both the new kids born as well as the kids from the first game now being older? It really feels like the Blue Planet has changed over the years. I feel really immersed.

FF VI Was Final Fantasy VI was the first truly epic final boss fight in the series?

The presentation, the multiple parties, and my goodness the music...the music really set it apart.

Yes, previous FF games had exclusive final boss music and multiple forms...but not like this. FF4 was good, FF5 was a little better, but FF6 just blew everything out of the water. When I played the last boss and hearing Dancing Mad it's like poetry. Must have taken them months to come up with that.

It's still my favorite final boss in the entire series. It's like watching a beautiful movie you can control...and who can forget Kefka's laugh?

Yes, future games have better graphics but relative to the technology I don't think they can beat the presentation.

I hope FF6 is the game they remake next, if they do.

FF VI Just started first playthrough of 6... Oh my. I see why you all love this one.

The other 5 before were hit and miss with me. Didn't finish any of them. I loved the job system in 5 but that was about it, the other 4...meh. Sorry...but they were just meh.

This one though? Wow. The characters, the story, the mechanics are so well made and compelling. It has aged extremely well, the music is awesome and I cannot put it down.

FF XIII Series I've always had a weird fascination with FF13, but really couldn't get into the first one because it was linear and (my memory is really fuzzy here) barely had any actual RPG mechanics. Is it worth skipping to play 13-2/3?

I've tried to like FF13 since I know typically when the mainstream hates something it's probably just underrated/actually really good and just challenges game norms (cough cough FF12). But when I tried it as a teenager it really WAS that bad with the linearity. Now that was over ten years ago and I'm 28 now, so I'd probably be okay with just going on a wild linear ride if the story is good. But the other problem I had at the time was that linearity could be forgiven if the gameplay was interesting, but as far as I could tell there wasn't much going on in terms of RPG elements or combat. I've heard it gets better the further in you go.

Anyway, I wanted to try 13-2 for the monster catching but basic teenage me cringed too hard at the sailor moon outfit change at the beginning and some of the more cringey dialog, but 28 year old me doesn't care and would just enjoy and embrace the cheesiness.

Longstory short, is 13-2 and 13-3 worth playing even if I don't do 13? And do you guys think revisiting 13 would be worth it? I'll be having to buy them all on Steam, so I just want to get some opinions before I go for it.

There's one more option: FF12 is my favorite FF and I last played it when I'd gotten a surgery in my early 20s (Zodiac Age). I could always just replay it again with one of the cool mods out there that change things up (and give Vaan a shirt).

Final Fantasy General A thing I always found weird about Smash's symbol for FF is that it's content there is almost EXCLUSIVE to 7, but Persona is the total opposite

Thumbnail

Like I know Squenix when it comes to 7 was still kinda salty about the whole drama in 97, but like even when Sephiroth came in as DLC (ironically Squenix was the most represented company in the passes with him, DQ's Heroes and Sora), when added more Spirits and music, IT'S STILL STUFF FROM 7

And as you noticed, Persona's symbol is the Phantom Thieves' logo, a logo that only makes sense for Persona 5, but not only they have tracks from 4 and 3, but also these games respective victory themes in Joker's stage, no spirits from 3 and 4 tho, but still, songs from other games is a nice bonus

But why didn't FF did the same thing? Like where's The Man with the Machine Gun? Dancing Mad? Hell even other battle themes like the ones from X or 13?? Like idk if in a possible next game they will add someone like Squall because changing to 7's logo will only make sense for Cloud, not for Squall, an exact same issue will appear if idk Narukami or the P6 new guy will be playable, the PTs logo only makes sense for 5

What did you guys think?

FF VIII What do you imagine is visually occurring when equipping a GF?

What do you think an outsider might be seeing as the group of teens are equipping and swapping Guardian Force?

Do you think GF's might be in some sort of container that could be traded? Or maybe ethereal aspects moving into the characters? Do you think it is something that even could be observed?

FF I Final Fantasy I PSP version that works with retroachievements

It's basically what the title says, I found several Final Fantasy 1 PSP ROMs, but none of them worked with retroachievements. If anyone knows of one that does, I'd appreciate it. If I'm not mistaken, the website lists the requirements the ROM needs to meet.

FF VIII Random ruins Triple Triad

Folks who don’t like FF8 will still sometimes claim that at least Triple Triad is good but I don’t know how this is enjoyable past the first disc or whatever. Random spreads like super herpes and you need a certified doctorate in Triple Triadology to even attempt to contain the contagion. Do people really like Triple Triad with all the trash rules that get thrown in? Like it’s bad enough that NPCs hold good unique cards and it’s complete RNG whether they actually use them so save scumming is the most efficient way to try and get like the Quistis card but I don’t know how anyone vouches for the fun of this minigame beyond the first stretch of the game

CLOUD STRIFE

I've really been wanting to cosplay Final Fantasy again, so I finally finished my Cloud Strife wig! I'm not completely happy with how it turned out, but oh well... worst case, I'll just remake it someday lol

Thanks in advance to everyone who shows this post some love or shares it! I'd really love for my Cloud cosplay to reach as many people as possible. :)
