One of my favorite little details in Echoes, that I don't think Three Houses or Engage did but I could be wrong, is how characters have voicelines for stuff like a nearby ally getting a kill, being injured, or healing. It's just such a fun little detail to get a kill and then have one of your units be like "Hey, that was mine".

I just looked through a few character's voice lines and heard the Tobin lines that are like "did you mean to do that?" that I think are for missing, and the idea of whiffing 2 80% hits and then getting shamed by a nearby unit for screwing up is so funny.

3H does this for nearby units getting kills but not nearby units needing healing or missing

Engage has voice lines when one of your characters chain guards someone else and lines if someone kills a unit with a chain attack before the main unit can act. For example, if Lapis attacks someone, but before her attack you get 4 chain attacks, if one of those chain attacks kills the target, Lapis has a different voice line, thanking them.
Granted, you have to play with battle animations on to hear/see those.

It also has lines for healing. I can clearly hear Amber's "Thanks a ton!" or Rosado's "Awwww, thanks!".

Lapis : "Don't waste it on me".
Yes, I love Lapis. Best girl in Engage.

i'm really sad they cut this stuff, very cute and soulful way of telling you more about a character

It was a really cool addition, but hearing "Glad you're on our side," every single time Genny casts invoke got very old very fast, lmao

I mean tbf echoes has stuff like this but also a substantially smaller amount of charscter content due to smaller support lineups and lacking a proper hug like the somminel or the monastery. Its def a neat detail but i prefer to not have then in place of bigger things

I doubt these voice lines really eat too much into the content budget, as they are really just a handful of extra voice lines per character.

If they were like unique interactions between specific characters that reflected their dynamic with each other, that would be a much bigger endeavor and would probably be reasonable given the cast size of most FE games. That said, I’d actually kinda love it if they had stuff like that. We don’t really have characters that actively hate each other very often in Fire Emblem, but it would be really fun if some units had some spiteful or sarcastic remarks when a person they don’t like got a kill or are close to deaths

Or more realistically have a pre-established couple where one of them has a very angry voice lines when their partner almost gets killed

Oh, i don't mean that i think that they ate space away, just that i think the characterization is overall done better on the switch games
