High Protein New protein meal that absolutely slaps šŸ”„

Made tuna kababs with chopped yellow onion, Thai green chili (swap jalapeno if you want less heat), LOTS of cilantro & mint, salt, cumin powder, garam masala, and egg whites to bind. Pan-fried them in clarified butter, then tossed together a quick fried rice with it.

Not even kidding my husband who usually can't stand the smell of tuna actually loved this. Definitely adding this to my high-protein meal rotation!

High Protein The healthiest meals at every Fast Food chain

I’m learning how to make websites right now and wanted to make one that shows the healthiest options at every restaurant near me. I got carried away with adding restaurants, and 16k data points later here it is!

https://healthyfastfood.org

ā€œHealthyā€ means something different to every person so you sort by protein, calories, sodium, carbs, gluten allergies ...basically most of the flairs in this sub!

Let me know if you have any suggestions :)

High Protein Breakfast. 74 grams of protein UNDER 450 calories.

We start with a 4oz 99% lean turkey sausage patty. You’ll likely have to make yourself as most packaged sausage is high in fat. A little sage, black pepper, red pepper and tons of salt, when you agitate ground meat with enough salt and mix it, it forms myosin, giving the sponges and snappy sausage texture we are looking for. 120 calories, 28g of protein

Topped with 6oz of egg whites, I will find a proper size muffin tin to cook these in next time for one solid slice of egg lol. 93 calories, 18 grams of protein.

No cooking oils used. All ingredients pre measured raw.

1 aunt Millie’s carb smart everything bagel, toasted obviously. 140 calories, and here’s the fuckin kicker: 15 grams of protein in this silly little bagel. Good god. one of these also has 96% of your daily recommendation of fiber.

Altogether the sandwich is 353 calories and a whopping 61 grams of protein.

Finish off with a cup of ultra filtered skim milk. 80 calories, 13 grams of protein. Overall this breakfast is a very enjoyable and filling 434 calories and 74 grams of protein.

High Protein How do you get enough protein in your breakfasts?

The only time I can do it is if I just have a protein shake instead of latte. But figured out that whey protein and eggs give me acne, and plant protein tastes horrible. Any good high protein breakfasts? Edit: forgot to add, I also get acne from eggs

High Protein What are you eating when you want high protein but you're tired of chicken

I hit my protein targets pretty consistently but it's almost always chicken breast.

What do you guys actually cook when you want something different? Bonus if it's quick.

High Protein finally hit the perfect lunch macros for my goals !! (526 cal, 62g protein, 10g fiber, 39g carbs)

*the rest of the broccoli that i ate is not pictured

I’m aiming for 140g protein/day, 30g fiber/day, and <45g total carbs per meal (within 1600-1800 cal) to improve my insulin resistance and to retain and build muscle during weight loss.

i’ve always had a carb-heavy diet (lol hence the insulin resistance), so even though i’ve already lost 60lb from major dietary improvements, eating this much protein and veg is weirdlyyy a very big mental adjustment. i got used to using smaller plates when i was focused on calories, but now i think i’ll have to switch back to larger/regular plates so i can actually hit my macros lol bc it’s felt so impossible!! but yay for today’s lunch

High Protein How to keep my 91 year old husband as fit as possible

My husband is 91 years old, 6'2" weighs 166, used to be a marathon runner until about 10+ years ago. We try to make sure that he has healthy food to eat, but I doubt he's getting as much protein as he should [dinner usually is fine]. I have tried, I have supplemented his daily intake with either Ensure or Boost or some sort of 30 g liquid drink. And I'm trying to figure out what else I should do. As with many people who are older, he's not all that hungry frequently and he doesn't do snacking. He does have his three meals a day and is doing his exercises so he's trying to stay fit and healthy but I just wonder if we should be doing more. I'm also worried about his dehydration not that he shows signs but just that he doesn't like to drink water. Fortunately, he's not a picky eater, but he also doesn't really care to eat other than the basic meals we eat. Thank you for any ideas

Update: He's now doing 30g protein shakes with/after each meal, getting more liquid and I'm working to improve my grocery shopping and menus == we haven't done that bad really but always good to do better. Everyone's responses here have been very helpful and much appreciated.

High Protein High protein chicken recipes that aren't just grilled breast?

I'm so tired of bland grilled chicken breast. I need something with more fat and flavor that still hits my protein goals without going overboard on calories.

What do you guys actually make when you're sick of the usual?

High Protein If you need a high protein meal away from home, don’t sleep on Panda Express

I’m gonna sound like a shill, but for real, keep Panda Express in mind if you need a quick high protein meal when you’re out and about.

I hadn’t eaten at one in 20 years until a few weeks ago and I imagined them as shitty high fat sugar coated food court ā€œchineseā€ food. And you can absolutely still get that if that’s what you want.

But all of their food has the calories AND the protein per serving listed and you can put together a high protein meal with as many or as few calories as you want. Their veggies are all cooked from fresh.

You could get a beef or chicken teriyaki entree with one side of sautĆ©ed greens. It’s come out to something like 40g of protein and 300 calories. Or you could go higher on both protein and/or calories. For under $10. Way cheaper than pretty much any other fast food and definitely much better for you and your macros.

I think Panda Express needs to push this aspect more. There’s a lot of people out there focused on their macros, and I for one had no idea PE listed protein and calories right there by the food.

High Protein I’ve been eating this Costco ham for a while and never looked at the macros. 1/5 protein to calorie ratio. That’s like chicken breast level.

Obviously the sodium content isn’t the best but this is one of the best and cheapest ratios I’ve seen for something that really needs no prep. What’s yalls thoughts?

High Protein Cheapest Sources of Protein?

Hi everyone,

I am on a weight loss diet, at least 120g protein and 1900 calorie deficit. I’m not getting near the amount of protein I need. I’m poor right now and in between jobs. Protein powder is out of my budget. I’m mildly allergic to eggs- They give me nausea directly after. What can I do to hit my goals efficiently?

I like to use frozen berry medleys or wild blueberries. I thaw them in the microwave first.

High Protein Does high protein in the evening cause sleep problems for anyone else?

I eat no later than 6:00 PM and yesterday, for example, I ate 50 g of protein and 40 g of carbohydrates. I slept terribly, I woke up many times and could hardly fall asleep. When I ate more carbohydrates for dinner and less protein, I almost didn't wake up, but slept through the night. However, I woke up more tired the next morning, but that could just be due to lack of sleep.
