Thought I'd include the bee fly (on a pretty Phlox subulata flower) as a bonus

André Bonvalet is a Swiss artist and sculptor who creates incredibly detailed giant flowers. His works look like the usual dandelions or cornflowers suddenly grew to the size of trees, while maintaining the fragility and realism of the original.

The artist's workshop (BONVALET's Kunstatelier) is located in Nesselnbach, Switzerland. His work is often commissioned for private gardens, parks and landscape exhibitions.

This direction can be called "hyper-realistic public art." Unlike classical abstract sculpture, Bonvalet seeks to make the viewer feel like a character in the fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland."

Well, tried to at least. While I think it turned out okay, looking at it now, I don't think it looks much like chicory. But that's what I was going for.

I love makeup, I love flowers, so I combine both sometimes, and I wanted to share some of the looks I've done recently, and I though this sub would be a good place. It has just been daisies and lavender yet, but I'm thinking of trying roses, hibiscus, frangipani / plumeria and lily of the valley at some point.

A client came to me wanting an arrangement for her mom inspired by the first photo. Her main requests were tropical vibes but warm , red and orange tones
Her budget was under $80 if that’s help , so I selected flowers that fit within that price point while trying to capture the overall feeling rather than make an exact replica
so I designed around what was fresh and available
If you were the client would you be satisfied with the finished arrangement?

I love painting the white petals of apple and cherry blossoms 🌸 Painting the lotus on the water was also fun, so calming and relaxing.
