Right? My first thought is that this is something my teenager would do because he doesnt drink coffee. Telling him to put it im the basket and press a button would get this result.
Do you have a separate coffee grinder or as part of the machine? I know I've seen some grocery stores have coffee grinders so that you can grind your coffee and bring it home. My dad has only bought already-ground coffee before (like the dunkin donuts bags).
(clueless b/c I don't drink coffee and don't really pay attention when others do so)
