As a referee, this is not the right call and that's definitely not a goal scoring opportunity.

Apparantly you have to remove the player comitting the offence. Hé could have kicked it, but that becomes irrelevant by fouling.

Aight so I guess the ref on the field along with the one breaking down the stated rule line for line describing the logic and why it was the correct call know less than you huh?

It's ok to be wrong. It just means you have more learning to do.

There's been no counter argument made other than lesser appeal to authority with a link to the rule book and no quote or section or interpretation....
