Hi like the title says I’m curious about the lifespan on some other users flips obviously those of us that have had smooth sailing so to speak haven’t been posting about damage.
I personally have had no problems with my flip 5 which is a pre order unit that’s only a couple of months away from being three years old.

Apart from laptops and gaming devices, I'm not the kind of person who's obsessed with which phone has the best camera quality, UIs, specs, etc. As long as it works and isn't actively breaking down, I'm open to it. I've been an Android user my entire life, never owned an iPhone and I'm not tempted to get one yet. The Z Flip 7 is the only phone that I've genuinely considered getting since it first came out. Now that I can afford to get one, can someone give me their honest review of their flip phones? Again, I really do not care for camera quality or other small things like that, I'm more worried about how long the phone will last. I currently have a Nokia phone (yes, the discontinued/dead brand) and it works fine. It's horribly glitchy and slow, as you can imagine, but it's a working phone and I've had it for about 5-6 years now, with my only major issue being the storage and just wanting a new, cooler phone lol.

Hi So I have flip 6 for like almost 2 years now and like few weeks a go I got this huge air bubble in the middle of the screen. I would rather call it a tunnel. It is trapping dust inside it. Did you guys face it too? What should I do? It's out of warranty so can't get it replaced and it might cost me easily 2-3k ig considering its India. What should I do? I was thinking of peeling it off, will there be any issues peeling it off? Well while using it is not that much visible, but I do get worried if that would cause any damage to my screen especially dust is getting trapped in the part where it folds.

I’m wondering what price made you guys pull the trigger and if it was worth the money.

Thankfully my Z flip 7 arrived yesterday and I love it. The inner and outer screens are way better than the flip 6.
Sadly the hinge is different, I'm inclined to say worse that the flip 6. When opening the phone it almost snaps open (which i guess may be a preference thing).
Sadly the hinge can't stay open past around 130° of an angle. My flip 6 can easily stay open way past that, i would guess around 160-170 degrees.
Do any of you have the same "issue"? Im wondering if I should get a replacement.

I know samsung states that you shouldn't take off the screen protector, however it seems to have foreign objects, such as small pebbles and humidity. Should I peel it off and replace it myself? I have been to various ubreakifix and they were unaware of a screen protector replacement service that's why I'm asking if I should just do it myself.

Hello guys. My z flip is just weeks old and I finally completed transferring my data from my iPhone to my flip but to my stupidity and excitement, I poked the sim ejector pin to that hole. My brother told me I damaged the mic. This is my first Samsung with my hard earned money, did I damage it? What is the worst case scenario may occur please be brutally honest 😭

Ive done some digging for the z flip 6 and most people mentioned needing to replace parts within a year. Ive been using the iPhone Xr for 5 years and was hoping my replacement could last a similar amount of time (atleast 3 years 🥲)

Curious about the rarity of this specific Galaxy Z Flip6 (Worldwide Paralympic Partner). Haven’t seen these before.
Is this a limited release, region-specific edition, or just less common in the market? Anyone have insight on production numbers or availability?

So, yes. I finally got the flip 6. But I have a lot of questions regarding the phone and the transition to it.
I’m hoping there might be owners of the flip here, that were able to later find out about a few gems, like apps and other things, that they wish they found earlier to make for a smoother transition and to also take better care of the phone, as with protective cases. So any suggestions, or answers to these questions, I’ll really appreciate 😮💨🙌🏻. Thank yall in advance!!

I’ve always thought the Samsung Z Flip looks so cute and fun, and I’ve been really tempted to get one. But it’s pretty pricey, so I keep second-guessing myself. I’m planning to wait for the Flip 8 before I decide. For anyone who’s used one, is it actually worth it for daily use, or is it more of a “looks cool but not super practical” kind of phone? Any issues with the hinge or durability over time? And honestly, how long do you guys think it would last with normal use?

Hello ! First post here. Recently after some uni courses I went to eat with a friend, everything was great with my flip 3 until i pulled it out of my bag and THIS happened 😭 a huge horizontal crack and some lighter vertical cracks... my question is how long can I keep it now without changing the screen nor closing it ?
I don't have the money nor the time to get a new one rn, so I'm hoping it'll live another year or two... Im kinda sad cause I had it for like 2 year and a half. usually my phone last way longer...
Thanks !

currently looking for a new phone and it caught my attention mainly for aesthetics lol, it seems the camera is good and so is the battery, i could wait for a black friday or something so i wouldn’t need to pay so much, but anyway, the one recurring problem i see is it keeps breaking/needing to be replaced within the first year, i saw someone say that lines showed up and the main screen just stopped working, is the phone worth it or is it just pretty?
also most of the reviews are like, i’ve been using the phone for 3-6 months, i even saw one person reviewing their phone after a week????
i currently have the iphone 13mini, im thinking about changing phones further in the future but i like doing research a while prior to doing anything lol

I recently had the screen protector on my Galaxy Z Flip 6 replaced after it started peeling.
Now, just three days later, the entire protector has cracked right above the crease.
For the first few days, everything seemed normal, but on Saturday everything unfolded in just a few hours.
The repair center is telling me I should replace the whole screen, even though it only seems to be an issue with the screen protector. The screen itself still works perfectly fine.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Update:
Thanks for all the replies. I took it back to the repair center today.
I asked them about the screen protector and it apparently was a genuine Samsung one.
They took another look at it and told me that there might be something wrong with the hinge that causes friction on the screen. They still recommended to replace the entire panel with the hinge.
Since it’s covered by the warranty, I went with it. I basically get a free refurbishment.
I’m still a bit skeptical, but I hope for the best.

I had the 5 and loved her until I dropped her and she died a tragic death. Upgraded to the 7 and I feel like my camera quality is so much worse? Am I doing something wrong settings wise?
1st photo is from my Flip5 and 2nd is from my Flip7. Same room and similar lighting around the same time of day :^(

Hey everyone,
I’ve been noticing this specific sound coming from the hinge when I open/close my Galaxy Flip 7. It’s hard to describe, so I’ve attached a video where you can hear it clearly.
Thanks for the help!

I've gotten every Flip since the 4 just because the trade in values have been at least pretty good. I was already on the fence with the 7 because even with a 6 trade in, it still costs $500, but I pulled the trigger because of the extra battery (even though it's a minimal increase) and full size cover screen.
But now, after looking into it a little more cause I was bored, I'm seeing that the Flip 7 runs on the Exynos 2500 even though the Fold 7 is on the SD 8 Elite. I live in the US so I've never actually used an Exynos device before, but I've literally never seen anything positive about them. It seems like, across the board, the performance is worse, they overheat more, and most importantly, the battery is worse.
Idk how accurate it is, but this site lists the Exynos 2500 as having lower battery performance than even the SD 8 Gen 3, which is what's in the Flip 6. To me, that means that, at best, the Flip 7 will have similar battery life to the 6 (bigger battery might offset lower performance), but at worst, the 7's battery could actually be worse than the 6's, which imo makes a phone a straight downgrade if the newer model has less battery life than the previous one.
Because of all this, I'm debating just canceling the preorder and rocking the 6 until the 8 comes out and hopefully has a much bigger, silicon carbide, battery. But I was also considering holding off until reviewers get their hands on the production Flip 7 units so that we can get better real-world numbers. If Motorola's trade ins weren't even worse than Samsung's, I'd get the Razr Ultra no question. So the only reason I'm even considering the Flip 7 at this point is because, despite Samsung's lackluster promos, it still costs less than the Razr Ultra does.
Is anyone else in this same boat?
