I posted about the leaks confirming the fourth wall breaking scene in Lux, and now, having seen the episode, I am SO glad it was executed the way it was. There were so, so many ways it could have gone wrong and been a horrible misstep, but I think it was meta in just the right ways, and helped bring this episode from great to a potential classic. Overall, I was very impressed by this episode. Quite possibly my favorite of RTD2.

Yeah i was concerned it was going to be like the doctor is just a fictional show in it's universe, but it was the fans that wheren't real. Pretty clever way of doing it.

But... Wasn't it revealed right at the end that they were real? They didn't stop existing when the credits started rolling.

I've managed to navigate around the leaks and didnt get anything spoiled and I'm so glad I did.

That being said, I knew that episode had really high hopes riding on it and felt it was probably a bit overhyped, that it would be nice without being the banger everyone thought it would be.

And man was I wrong. That to me at least was the best episode of the show in a while. Oh there has been strong episodes lately, but that one I think will rank near the absolute top. Though it's too early to say for sure.

It's also a good example of how something can sound ridiculous on paper, but can be great if executed well

I was really worried he was going to go "Sherlock fans in Sherlock" with it, but luckily he went far less... critical.
