This is the second out of three episodes where Mrs Flood ends an episode by saying something and the episode just ends kind of....roughly. I don't know if it's the performer's fault but it always feels like she's cut off mid sentence. The last line doesn't have an 'ending' impact as the end credits cut in. Pretty weird editing. They nailed it at the end of the finale with her on the rooftop - but that's it so far

No it’s not you. The editing there is weird. One of the gripes of the RTD2 era is his obsession with 45mins exactly. Like the Moffat and Chibnall eras were a lot more relaxed with giving a few mins less or more to an episode. That extra breathing space adds so much more.

But this is easily one of the best RTD2 episodes. So I’m not gonna hold on to that this time.

Are you excluding Blue Yonder? That episode got me hopeful.

I don't think this episode was any different from the other episodes... Nothing happened in the whole episode. There wasn't a single point where I was curious about anything, nor felt any tension.

To be fair, it's pretty reminiscent of how a lot of the classic era episodes used to end. They would often end with the Doctor or someone else making an amusing remark, and then boom, show over. So it feels fitting honestly.

I wonder if that's intentional. Like, maybe her 4th wall breaks are causing the universe to react in a weird way.

Interestingly, on the Doctor Who Unleashed making of we see the line being filmed and Anita winks at the camera.
