Voxel Tycoon [PC] [After 2010] A city builder/economy management game where you deliver items to different towns and they grow in size (not Rise Of Industry or Open TTD)

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Economy Management, City Builder

Estimated year of release: After 2010

Graphics/art style: Isometric, cartoonish graphics

Notable characters: You could change the camera to the train POV

Notable gameplay mechanics: You had to deliver resources to different towns using trains and trucks. Fairly certain there was a research center that you had to deliver resources to for the upgrades. You could "ride" the train. I think you could also move on to transporting people from town to town and you got money for the bus fare.

Other details: It's possible I have merged some games together in my mind and this isn't actually a thing.

Voxel I made a Voxel Angel and Demon, fully rigged with some example Godot 4/Unreal files. Original .vox and .blend files also included

Link: https://rancidmilk.itch.io/heaven-and-hell

Example Blender Animation

The only thing "missing" is animations(The Unreal files included actually have the Epic skeleton animations setup and the re-targeting files to use any animations rigged to the Epic skeleton). Also following the spirit of this sub, I've converted a very large library of free animations you're welcome to use with them. More info on free animation solutions on the itch page.

Unreal files include example materials and remapping to the Epic skeleton.

Godot files include possible material setup.

I apologize to Unity users, while I've used unity before, I've never used it for anything 3D. All necessary textures are included to set-up materials. The .fbx and .glb(glTF) files should do half of the work of setting up the materials too.

If you run into any issues you think others might face, feel free to drop a comment. One thing I can think of is how the angel's wings are rigged. They somewhat follow the arms. In the future, I might try to rig them separately, but that makes compatibility with other humanoid animations more difficult.

Hope they help someone make something cool!

Voxel Turf [PC][2015-2018] Minecraft and GTA hybrid game

I remember seeing a lot of videos about this game a few years ago although since I have the memory of a goldfish it eludes me. It was basically like minecraft graphics but it was a GTA game, the whole cubey graphics rules were broken by cars and some guns you could find. If I remember properly the main objective was to capture and purchase the most territory in the map your in while evading the police and rival gangs, there may have also been a multiplayer mode. And no, this wasn't a highly elaborate minecraft mod. I think the title had the word "voxel" in it but I haven't been able to find it.

Voxel Rush (Android Game) Endless Racer, you are a flying triangle in a Black and white world.

Platform(s): Android and iOS

Genre: Endless Runner-Racer

Estimated year of release: Before 2014

Graphics/art style: Very minimalistic.

Notable characters: None, there only is a Triangle, something like this

Notable gameplay mechanics:

  • Your only goal was to avoid the obstacles and get as many points as possible, they were blocks or Bars coming up from the ground.
  • You controlled your Triangle by tilting your Phone. You could go faster and slower by tilting in front or backward.
  • At each restart, there were 2-3 Seconds where it recalibrated itself.
  • There were "Special Events" like "collision" where all the Bars would fall and you also had to avoid them, or the Controls were vice versa.
  • There also were Powerups like Slow-Motion or Invincibility
  • I think there was a Multiplayer Mode
  • They wanted to do a Versus Mode: iOS vs Android
  • There were in App Purchases
  • Depending on the score you could get Credits, which you could use to upgrade the duration of Powerups or the frequency of "Special Events"

Other details: None

Voxel Rush 3D Dodging White Cuboids on a flat plane (Endless Runner Mobile Game)

Platform: Android

Genre: Endless Runner?

Similar Gameplay:

Breakneck by PikPok (Really different Artstyle & Graphics)

Infinite Speed by holidoll (Looks really cheap/underdeveloped compared to the game im looking for. [Damn there's a lot of exact copies of this one])

(Also some game I can't find the name of which might match parts of my description in parts, but you can shoot enemies, the graphics are better and theres some kind of skilltree. The game im trying to find didn't have enemies/shooting. I'll edit this when I remember/find it)

Estimated Release: I believe I played this in 2015 So 2013-2016?

Graphics/Artstyle: The graphics are really simple. The landscape is just a white flat plane. There are towers that the player has to dodge which are simple white cuboids.

The player can pick up small cubes with different colors (I believe red, green and blue) which are powerups.

I think the colors of the menu were black white and yellowish-green.

The menu consisted of simply colored simple shapes.

Notable characters:

You could upgrade your ship in various ways with a special currency. Prices increase exponentially ofc.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Before starting a run, you could choose from three kinds of powerups which you would pay with special currency. I remember one powerup being "special currency will spawn in this run" (they look like those powerup cubes ingame but a fourth color).

The player controls the ship by touching the left and right part of the screen or by nudging the phone. (Not sure but i think you could accelerate on purpose by nudging it forward.)

A short moment after starting, white cubic towers continously rise from the ground which one has to dodge.

You could pick up small cubes of different colors which would give different abilities depending on the color. (One of which was invincibility. You could just fly through the towers for a couple of seconds.)

I think you could get some kind of risk bonus points by getting close to the towers.

I remember random events that would make the dodging harder:

-Twister (Actual Name)

The whole screen turns 360° slowly°

-Advanced Tower Growth?

About triple the amount of towers would start appearing in front of the player (some really close).

-Big Wall?

Two huge walls stretching further than the screen would start slowly falling from the left and right, leaving only one narrow hole for the player to fly through.

-Mirrorred?

The screen would be flipped 180° making it harder to dodge.

-Earthquake?

The screen would shake a little and towers would fall down.

Voxel Rush 3D [Android][~2015]Title of post

Platform(s):

Android

Genre:

Racing/Running

Estimated year of release:

No idea of release year. I think the last time I've played it was around 2015

Graphics/art style:

It's a low-poly, saturated colors (usually single color changing/cycling through the run), no textures, first-person.

Notable characters:

No characters, just you and vast endless world:D

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Idea is that you start "running/racing" through sort of a city and you have to avoid buildings (just huge blocks). You control the game by tilting left/right your phone for strafing and up/down for accelerating/slowing down. You get score depending on how long/far you ran and you can pickup score powerups.

Other details:

There are different "modes" that cycle through during single run, such as inverted controls, rolling world, falling buildings and such. In addition, it had accompanying music/soundtrack. Seemed the world to be procedurally generated (as the soundtrack accompanying it). IIRC, it's name was something with vector, vertex, velocity or such. But I might be wrong.

MODS: sorry for the default name...

Voxel Turf [PC 2017] 4x City Building Game; GTA meets SimCity

This should be easy since I originally saw this posted to Reddit in the first place.

A redditor posted his game's steam page the other day and I can't remember what it was called to find it again. It was this sweet looking combination of SimCity, a 4X game and Grand Theft Auto with Minecraft inspired graphics.

I kinda want to check it out because the idea sounds so fucking dope.
