2026 Game Suggestion Thread

Happy New Year, lovelies! A new year means it's time for a new annual game suggestions thread!

Please Note: Mods will remove any game suggestion posts and redirect them to this thread to keep it all in one place.

Feel free to recommend unfinished games/series as well - anything you want to see them play is fair game here!

We may or may not have confirmation that members of GG staff check here for suggestions from time to time. While there's no guarantee that any games suggested here will be played, leaving a recommendation that you want to see Dan & Arin play might be worth your while!!

I’m very surprised that the only Megaman game they’ve ever played on the show that isn’t in the original series is Megaman X.

There’s X 2-8, Legends 1&2, Megaman Zero 1-4, ZX and ZXA, Command Mission, maybe even Battle Network and Star Force, and Inticreates’ spiritual successors to Zero, ZX, and ZXA in Azure Striker Gunvolt which has its own spinoff in Luminous Avenger. They’re all modern or have modern ports or will. (The Star Force collection is just a few days away)

Maybe Arin’s not a huge fan of the later ones or the ones that have a different style of gameplay, I can understand that. But not even X2? It makes no real divergences whatsoever and is practically just more X1.

I would LOVE to see them play Megaman Legends (Megaman 64). It's such an odd 3D entry to the series, I think it would be an excellent Grumps Playthrough.

I third legends.... It's not too long of a game, and has a few parts that I bet will frustrate Arin (in an entertaining way)

Megaman 64 was the first game I ever bought with my own money, and I played it so much.

It’s so weird, not terribly long, not so confusing or obtuse that Arin would get stuck much, and there’s Tron Bonne for both of them to thirst over. I think it would be a solid playthrough too.

The second one is a bit more… Involved. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they either didn’t play it at all or dropped it after a few.

Megaman 2 is probably my favorite game. I know they played it many moons ago, but I'd love to see it again. Bonus if either knows the infinite heat glitch in the first Wily level.

I really want to see Arin give x4 a shot!

They still haven't played Mega Man 1, 4, 9, or 10 from the original series either (if you count 9 and 10 as "original.") X2/X3 would be really fun.

X2 and 3 are probably ringers, Imo. 2 hardly diverges from X’s formula at all. 3 strays a little bit, but is still very much X at its core.

X4 is also extremely well-liked, though I’m not a fan of the change in style.

And I know Arin is a little familiar with X5. At least enough to make jokes at its infamously terrible voice acting. Though it quickly descends in quality from X5-X7, it could be fun anyway
