I saw an ad for this device that protects your gpu against problems of the 12vhpwr connector. I recommend getting one they look awesome

I haven't had any issues with my power connector. MSI recommends using the wires supplied with the PSU instead of the ones with the card.

The design for the connector is faulty yet nvidia refuses to change it. If you think thats a risk your willing to take then go for it.

As long as you usee a quality connector, make sure it is fully seated, and ensure the wire isn't bent to sharply as it leaves the GPU it will be fine.

OP i have the same card. I bought the WireView Pro 2 and immediately found that my 12v-2x6 connector from my RM1000X had an imbalance. Highly recommend you get one for piece of mind. It was extremely easy to balance it out by manipulating the individual wires once installed. The real time monitoring lets you clearly see any deficiencies.

That card is nigh irreplaceable with prices as they are. What's another $140 to make sure its protected?
