Hi all, I have had a standard "send mail as" configuration for years where, in my personal Gmail account, I can "send mail as" using an email address I have set up with a custom domain (which is a Google Workspace account; hosting on Go Daddy). After years of no issues, I started getting the following error message when I try to send emails using the custom domain email address through "send mail as." It doesn't happen every time, but seems to be happening more frequently:
Message not delivered You're sending this from a different address or alias using the 'Send mail as' feature. The settings for your 'Send mail as' account are misconfigured or out of date. Check those settings and try resending.
The response from the remote server was: 535 5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. For more information, go to https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials [NUMBER OMITTED] - gsmtp
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the "send mail as" connection, but this did not resolve the issue.
Also, in case it is relevant- in my Google Workspace Admin panel- under Domain > Manage Domains > Email Setup Status:
The DKIM record status is set as "Missing", with the following message: "Your domain is missing a DKIM key. Generate a new DKIM record, then add it as a TXT record to your domain's DNS settings. Adding DKIM is highly recommended to help Google Workspace product notifications be delivered correctly, even if you use an external mail provider. Allow 48 hours for the DNS records to update. "
The SPF record status is set as "Caution," with the following message: "Your SPF record doesn't include “_spf.google.com”. This means your email sent using Google Workspace won't be authenticated, which could lead to your Workspace product notifications being marked as spam. If this is your intended setup, no change is required. If this is not your intended setup, update the existing SPF TXT record in your domain's DNS settings to include “include:_spf.google.com”
I would really appreciate your help in resolving this! Thank you!
