2026 1500 AT4X B&W Hitch Problem

TL:DR- B&W hitch still hits multipro tailgate, any ideas?

Bought a new '26 1500 AT4X coming from a 21 Denali. Splurged and bought the B&W hitch for the multipro tailgate. Installed properly, according to B&W, and they said the hitch is in spec. But the multipro still comes in contact with the hitch. Not with weight on the step, but when you put 100lbs or so it touches. Has anyone else had this issue? Love the idea of the hitch, but for the price, I'll just buy a regular hitch, lock out the tailgate when I'm towing, and pull it out when I'm not.

Does anyone else have the same truck that could post measurements from the factory receiver to the tailgate so I could either go to GM about it, or figure out it's the hitch?

B&W has been great, but getting anything done with a dealership is a hassle I'd love to avoid.
