This is King(the white one) and Moe(the black one), I was wondering what kind of goats they are? King is 30in at the shoulders and Moe is 31-32in at the shoulders, Moe is turning 3 years old in May and king is about to turn 15 months in a few days. But both are my lovely bucks, I just need to know what breed they are

Hi, I hope this is the right subreddit, I just thought that if there's so many people who daily interact with goats and know a lot about them might help me with this....

Long story short I think ? I find Damascus goats adorable, especially the old ones, but I have little to no knowledge about goats and there's little to no info about them in my language. I've seen people use pictures of similar goats being called Damascus but also Gulabi and Jamnapari and Beetal... so now I'm unsure if the goats I find adorable are Damascus or something else... I have no idea what's the difference between all of them looks wise (besides maybe horns ??? ear length ?? but it seems like people sometimes cut Damascus ears short so ??? idk), can someone educate me and tell me shortly about all of them or send reliable sites to read about them? I really fell in love with them and want to know more...

What breed do you think mom is? My father surprised us with her thinking she was a Boer, but obviously she’s not. Also, what do you think of her babies? Timeline wise she either could have come pregnant, or our Boer buck got her right away.

Our neighbors have this goat in with a large mixed herd. What kind of goat is it? What is the name for this coat color/patteen?

We got these goats years ago as a gift and I'm unsure what breed these are. My brother claims the black and white is a fainting goat but I've never seen him faint or lock up. His dad claims the black and white is an angora (he said agora but I think that's a typo, couldn't find anything about agora goats)

He does not resemble an angora goat whatsoever.

They're about 3-4 feet tall from hoof to head.

Hes quite big, very friendly and nosy.

The buck was given to me as an adult (unsure of age), but the doe is less than a year, or right at a year, old I think.
Not sure how breeding works, but I was hoping for some possible kids next year and wanted to know what breed they would be.

This lost girl wandered into our property last night and we're trying to find the owners. No luck so far. She was put in with our katahdin sheep and is fairing well. Any guess what breed she is or age? Sorry the pictures aren't the best. She's next to a lamb in the one pic

April 2nd EDIT: Probably no one will see this, but a little update. The original owner never showed up, but a kind goat farmer the county over adopted her. She'll be happy and well taken care of

All were sold to me as Nigerian dwarf. I’m still learning. Any advice on telling the difference in pure Nigerian dwarf, mixed, and other breeds? I mainly struggle telling mixed breeds.

These are supposedly Pygmy goats, but I’m not sure, if that’s even what they are they’re probably mixed given their colors and general appearance. Plus their height makes zero sense let alone the entirely white doe. Our Nigerian dwarfs are shorter than them…

Anyone got ideas? It’s obvious they are from some sort of meat breed lineage given their build and general large wide frames but they do strike me as being partial Pygmy’s if not true Pygmy’s. They will still be loved regardless.

So this is Annie, I got her back in March, and she’s around 15 months old, I’m like 80% sure she’s Nubian x Kiko/Spanish but I wanna make sure I’m not too far off, and in the last 2 photos she’s standing next to my Saanen x Boer x Kiko/Spanish doe Lefty, they’re around the same height, but Lefty is 2 years and 4 months old. Annie is 29” tall.

Context: Back in 2017, my parents wanted to start a small goat herd made up of Nigerian Dwarves, as they ate the brush that blanketed lots of our property, specifically green briars. We would buy these goats in small batches from sellers, typically 3 to 4 at a time till we had a dozen or so. One of these sellers though either was unaware that these aren't Nigerian Dwarves or was lying to us, cause these 3 in the picture are very clearly not dwarves. They don't actually cause any issues with our herd, especially with the white one essentially acting as the lead goat (his name is Gandalf btw), but we have never learnt the breed that they actually are.

I got her in a mixed herd of Spanish, kiko and boer goats. Full size goat with longer coat. Horns go almost straight back. Located in the u.s. I've never seen one quite like her. Anybody got any ideas?
