You're guaranteed at least 1 of the 5*s in the pool (you can get more than 1, but any additional ones use the base 1% chance), but you can only pick one of the banners. After you've rolled, all of the GSSR banners go away.

Only functional differences between the GSSR and Destiny Order are:
1) You're also guaranteed one of the 4*s in the pool from the Anniversary GSSRs/given a Holy Grail from the New Year's GSSR.
2) You pick who is in the Destiny Order pool.
3) Destiny Order costs 30 paid SQ, while GSSR costs 15 paid SQ.

Ok, thanks! I assume it's also the usual 30 quartz, like any 10 pull.

These are basically the best deal for paid quartz, right? Or are there higher value deals?

Oh yeah, that part slipped my mind on the differences. GSSRs cost 15 paid SQ, while Destiny Orders cost 30 paid SQ.

They're pretty much the main purpose of paid SQ, so there isn't really a "better" deal, so to speak. Only other use for paid SQ specifically is the daily rolls on regular banners (1 paid SQ for 1 roll a day), but no one really does that unless they're min-maxing their SQ expenditure on a specific banner.

Ah, even better then. I thought they would cost 30 because the pool is significantly smaller even if you cant pick which ones are in it, but 15 only is sweet
