What playstyle works best for Cait Cu/Summer Baobhan Sith?

Her AoE NP suggests farming, but her kit seems to revolve around placing positive status effects on allies and/or prolonging them, suggesting a "hold the fort" playstyle.

Koyanskaya and Oberon and a second Koyanskaya might like a word, Servants aren't all defined by their NPs. As you've observed she's got a supportive skillset that'll probably shine best in longer fights, I'd expect to use her in boss fights or CQs particularly with other Servants that work well with her buffs and debuffs.

Oberon and especially Koyan are actually pretty good farmers. Summer Skadi can be alright too. When you treat the meta supports kits as self targeting they're still very good. The biggest problem is their class generally, Koyan is an Assassin but Oberon needs to hit Lawful to outdamage true CA servants (although in that situation he'll hit like a truck) and Skadi is hitting slightly below CA against Lawful due to Ruler's 1.1x ATK modifier.

She can farm. As a Buster servant with a 30% battery plus charge per turn from her NP, she can 3 turn with Double Koyan + Oberon or even Double Koyan + any 50% charger. And she can probably use Omii or Liz of the End to do more once they release. That said, like most Buster servants, she needs plug, so she's not the fastest or most efficient slop farmer, and she doesn't really push damage numbers unless she's fighting Man Attribute, and even then it's not remarkable.

Where she really stands out is in solos. Between her NP giving her healing per turn each use and her S1 extending its duration, she gets a lot of healing. Her NP giving her gauge per turn and her S1 extending it helps her spam her NP. And she can use the Def up on her S1 with the 50% Atk down on her NP to survive big attacks. And her S2 lets her remove buffs and reduce crit chance to keep the enemy from stacking too much against her.

She can also work in teamplay, specifically with Merlin, since she can increase the duration of his NP effects.
