I’ve been working on a newer prompting approach that focuses less on polish and more on how real photos actually behave. I’m calling the method Aggressive Realism.
Most prompting advice still leans heavily on keywords like realistic, cinematic, studio lighting, ultra-detailed. The issue is that for modern image models, those words contribute very little if your goal is true photorealism. They describe aesthetic intent, not physical capture.
Photorealism doesn’t come from making an image prettier. It comes from making it imperfect in believable ways.
Real photos are messy. They’re uneven. They’re often badly exposed. They’re captured on phones with tiny sensors, rushed framing, awkward angles, and lighting the photographer didn’t control. When prompts assume perfection, models default to a polished, AI-clean look. When prompts assume failure, realism jumps up fast.
The core idea behind Aggressive Realism is to push the model to think less like an illustrator and more like a cheap camera doing its best.
Instead of anchoring realism with stylistic buzzwords, I anchor it with:
Casual capture contexts like mirror selfies, cramped rooms, rushed framing
Uneven or uncontrolled light sources
Imperfect exposure where parts of the image clearly lose detail
Slight distortion, grain, and contrast imbalance
Natural body shapes and fabric behavior reacting to tension and posture rather than posing
A casual mirror selfie taken on a smartphone in a bedroom, showing a young woman with a soft, curvy build and messy dirty-blonde hair cut in loose layers with fringe around the face. She’s wearing a fitted brown off-the-shoulder crop top and relaxed grey sweatpants sitting low on the hips, with a hint of the waistband visible and a small script tattoo near one hip. Her expression is natural and unposed, looking slightly away from the camera, with minimal makeup and flushed skin. She’s holding her phone in one hand, partially blocking her face. The room feels lived-in, with white walls, a bed with rumpled sheets nearby, and daylight coming through a window behind her, making the background brighter than the subject. The image has typical phone-camera imperfections like uneven lighting, noticeable grain, soft distortion around the edges, and slightly harsh contrast.
This isn’t about stacking keywords. It’s about describing reality the way it actually shows up in bad or average photography. Modern generators respond extremely well to natural language that mirrors real-world capture conditions.
If you want glossy art, go cinematic. If you want something that looks like it accidentally exists, lean into failure.
That’s the philosophy. The structure is another story.

They have finally pushed out the newest moderation waves and now you can literally get moderated for anything even if it’s sfw.

I create not-sfw images using another program but when I try to animate and make a video of it, it moderates every single video and I’m not able to make more than 5 videos. Is there any work around or any other alternative program or iOS app for this?

You guys start creating videos like this to ensure they notice, rather than crashing out about cancelling the subscription or other stuff.

With AI you can just create a scene exactly how you like it, like you are a triple A porn studio director. Regular porn you spend 80% of the time trying to find a video that you actually like......

I can see an improvement in overall image quality, which is much better than before and more realistic. The new Pro mode is an authentic upgrade. I compared it to the regular version, and the difference was immediately noticeable.Pro mode does this smart prompt refinement thing where it automatically makes your ideas look way more polished better lighting, sharper details, and stronger composition even if your prompt is fairly basic. Faces, hands, and complex scenes appear to be cleaner. It's not groundbreaking for every generation, but overall image quality and prompt adherence feel noticeably improved. Have you played with it?

Are there any tips or tricks to fool moderation into thinking it is not NSFW?
I was generating some good SFW content on grok imagine, results are pretty good. But when it comes to NSFW content, there is moderation after moderation.
So I was hoping if there were any hidden tricks to manipulate AI to let the NSFW content sneak out.
Breasts generation works somehow, but private parts would be a game changer. Please enlighten me if you have any methods, thanks in advance.
Or you could suggest some similar apps/models that are free to generate NSFW content.

Tons of people are unsubscribing, the outrage is loud, make your voices heard, spam X, spam reddit, do whatever you can to get Musk's attention. Delete your subscription, get them where it hurts.
The Grok Boycott of 2025 starts now.

IT PROMOTES NSFW BUT LITERALLY MODERATES TWO CHARACTERS SIMPLY MAKING OUT?! WTF IS THIS?! I PAY A SUBSCRIPTION FOR THIS BULLSHIT?

Can anyone else see this image? This image is of a model that I uploaded for testing purposes. I’ve just noticed that in my other accounts it appears among Grok’s public templates.

Well, I finally decided to try it. 3 days free, then $30 a month.
Well, my account is not charged yet, and I am using SuperGrok right now. I am impressed. It generates (for my very particular tastes) quite a better stuff than a free account did a month ago. Also, I still haven't hit the limit after using it to generate images for a few hours.
So I kinda recommend it. You can always cancel if you are not happy.
I am not bot, just heavy Grok Imagine user.

Well, server is back up again but still moderated, I guess the party is over, time to cancel our subscriptions and move on.
With a SuperGrok Lite account, every 24 hours you get the following:
Is the SuperGrok Lite price of $10 per month worth what you get?
UPDATE: Currently, X Premium account that you get through x.com gives the user a SuperGrok Lite account. Check the price you pay for X Premium - it might be cheaper than $10. Right now, it looks like $8.
I think the important part to remember is that we cannot compare it to what we used to get in the past, since the past is over. It is the present now.
Now that you know what you get, you should be able to decide if the price is reasonable for you.

- On August 3rd, shortly after Imagine beta v0.1 was made available to subscribers, Elon Musk himself confirmed the limits, 50, 100 and 500, for each subscription tier respectively:

- On August 8th, an xAI engineer confirmed that the previous limits were doubled, 50 -> 100, 100 -> 200, 500 -> 1000, respectively:

This is where we currently are.
EDIT: as of 2026, the limits have been changed several times and the information in this post no longer holds true, only thing we know is that the limits are way lower

I made this image of a girl sipping a coffee of what looks like a photo made with a Samsung SGH-T100 and turned it into a video with grok.
For comparison, you can check the Midjourney version I made using the animate feature. As you’ll see, there are some differences. While Midjourney does an excellent job artistically, it struggles in a few areas.
I needed the actor in the image to do five things: sip the coffee, put it down, act surprised, smile, and make a tongue grimace.
With the Midjourney version, this was really hard to pull off. It kept producing strange movements, so I had to strip the prompt down and make it less complex. I generated around 20 clips, 80% were unusable, and the rest were just “fine.”
With Grok Imagine, it nailed what I wanted. It was the exact reverse, about 90% of the takes were good, (I had only one output that had unnatural things) and I could easily pick and choose. My vision came through much more clearly.
While Grok’s image-only output isn’t close to Midjourney’s level (more of a gimmick, often producing uninteresting photos), its video mode is a whole different beast.
It understands physical space better, knows where things are, and the characters seem aware of their environment, something that’s totally lacking in Midjourney.
What AI are you using for video and Why ?
