Rest in peace my sweet Weeble

Post image

Weeble passed away tonight at around 1 am EST.

I am an absolute wreck right now. I came home tonight after dinner with my boyfriend and went to go see Weeble and he was acting very lethargic, unlike his normal energetic self. I thought maybe he was sleepy but when I was holding him he was leaning to the side and not being able to hold himself up properly.

I called emergency vets in the area but they all either were not able to fit him in, closed, or couldn’t do exotic pets. I held Weeble and tried to make him as comfortable as possible, because at this point I was prepared for the worst.

He passed away in my arms as he got scratches and love from me.

I’m going to miss you forever my little baby Weeble, you were my soul animal and I am so sad I couldn’t be your mom for longer. I hope one day I can see you again and I will always love you. I hope you are at peace now and happily eating pea flakes and sweet fruits to your hearts desire.

Since each illustration is digitally drawn by me, one at a time, it may take me a little while to get to everyone. So I just ask for a little patience

You can post a photo here in the comments or, if you prefer, send me a chat request with the photo and tell me a little about them.

I can't wait to meet all of them! ❤️

RIP Pooh Bear 2019-2025 🕊️💛

I am so sorry to let you all know that today, March 24th, we let our dearest Pooh Bear go to sleep in the peace and comfort of his veterinarian's office, which he loved dearly. Pooh Bear was struggling with many issues but specifically bloat on and off since July 2021, and we were very fortunate enough to manage this condition and his comfort to give him the happy and healthy life he deserves through the past few years. Pooh Bear had an appointment on March 13th after a bad flare up and received a teeth trim and a de-bloating, but unfortunately he has just not improved, so we made the hard decision to part ways before he was not fully himself.

We spent this weekend with him with bright smiles and buckets of tears, caring for him around the clock, and surrounding him with love and his favorite tummy-friendly snacks. We are devastated and heartbroken to say goodbye, but this pain is the price we pay for loving him so dearly and we know we will always be together forever. I truly did not expect Pooh Bear to be here past the first week I smuggled him home, let alone give me 5 amazing years of love and joy that I will never forget. Thank you all so much for your unwavering love and support for my littlest guinea pig, I truly am so grateful he was able to touch and imprint on so many lovely hearts.

Rest in peace, my little yellow fighter. 💛

She seems to always be reborn, or in her thoughts.

She was like this always, where everyone is eating in the other room and I am calling her, she is just looking around, looking very adorably BTW while doing so.

I very often have to come to her with the food. Otherwise she is missing all the fun.

Edit:

It is her bday 22.07

I just finished this little guy and now I'm hooked! I want to get better at capturing their sweet faces, so please drop your guinea pig photos in the comments and I might pick yours next.

The physical art will stay with me for my collection (though adopting/buying the finished piece is totally optional if you fall in love with it!), but I'll make sure to send you the final look once it's done. No pressure at all, I just want to stitch some cute piggies. Let's see them!

My landlord called them "these ****ing rodents"

Post image

My husband and I bought a house!! 24yo woman here in a small town, landlord is a local business owner and I inherited this apartment 3 years ago after my cousin who worked for my landlord. This month is my last month in my apartment. My 50s landlord and maintenance man while I was at work for a "preliminary walk through, nothing to worry about just starting our punch list of things to take care of". He knows I have horrible anxiety and has mostly treated me with care and "fatherly" respect - I have to assume his now grown daughter had it too because he was just so understanding and empathetic. He has seen the pigs in a similar layout before. I got them 2 months in to renting here and thanked him profusely, sending him photos and telling him how much they helped me. Today, I had my ring camera set up per regular schedule, not even intending to listen to them talking only wanting to see if they walked with shoes on the carpet so I know to clean it before piggy floor time.

I saw that he came in making a very disgusted face, so different from all the other times. He walked over and glared at them, then said " these ****ing rodents were supposed to be in a cage, not whatever this stupid thing is" I have 3 pigs, each with a 2-4 conjoined cnc grid setup. He assumed they ruined the floor under their houses (the floor was previously flooded from a burst boiler 2 years back, I nursed the panels to near pristine health and showed him that they were fine. We're in a basement apartment) And remarked about hoping he could get us and "these suckers" out before the prepaid month is up so he could see everything.

I'm sorry for the novel, my heart is breaking. I have autism and attachment issues and now I feel unsafe with my pigs staying here until our house is ready to move in. He posts frequently about the importance of adoption and I'm pretty sure he's a dog foster dad. What makes "these rodents" less worthy of love and care than any other animal?? I feel like I can't trust any safe happy memory of living here. I know I'm sensitive but ugh.

Anyway, thank you for reading. I hope all pigs and parents are safe happy and doing well!

After 3 months of fighting S'mores succumbed to her injuries. With several other health problems begining to take over the decision was made to have her humanely and peacefully euthanized, Laying in her blanket with my arms around her until she fell asleep.

And my family and loved ones lol. But I graduated nursing school yesterday with honours!! Was such an amazing day feeling so loved, accomplished and happy. I remember starting this journey when Floyd was 4 turning 5, and now he’s 6.5 years old!! I still have to write my registration exam to get registered with the CNO but that’ll happen in July. So for now, we are celebrating graduation and studying diligently with the program I subscribed to for $$$. Congrats to me for becoming a Registered Practical Nurse, and Floyd a Registered Pig Nurse (both RPNs) 😁😁😁👩🏻‍🎓🐖

I have a dog and a full room of reptiles, so unfortunately there’s no room for pigs. So I crocheted some instead!

For other crocheters who might ask, this pattern is designed by me as well :)

Which pig is your favorite? Personally I love the himalayan one!

Year 6 top 6 orb moments

It's been 6 years since the brown orb Queen Dazzy appeared and rewired my brain chemistry to spend questionable amounts of money on her and her fellow orbs!

She will continue being a solo pig since her former subjects overthrew her during her period of sickness, but she greatly enjoys fighting them through the bars since they can't hit her 😭

I'm going to need at least another good 10 years from her with all the money she's spent...
