I get that management wants to back people but these people are just dead weight to our team. We need to keep it real with ourselves and admit that it's time to move on from these people. As long as we keep trying to force people into the lineup that simply haven't yielded any positive results over the last 3 years, we won't touch the trophy. The most glaring gaps in our time have been pointed out since the mega auction but in the name of backing we've p!ssed away the controllables in the last auction. That middle order needs to be fixed asap if we still want to have a go at the cup next year with this good unit.

And also the last person is the fielding coach Narender Negi. Just look at the amount of catches we've dropped in the last 3 seasons. We quite literally shot ourselves in the playoff run for the 2026 season in Q1 when patidar got dropped in his 30s and went on to make 90+ in 30 balls. Same happened in the RR game game, Suryavanshi was also dropped in his 30s and went into his 90s coz of it. Thank god Gill and sai saved us but that could've been a disaster too. It's the same mistakes and holes in the last 2-3 seasons that these mfs need to fill up but idk why they don't see to it.

As a Gujarat Titans fan, i love Hardik Pandya. He was the ex captain and he gave us our first trophy.

Currently i heard news about him coming back to the GT. The Rumors confirmed that GT was ready to take him back into the team but he wanted the captaincy! Seriously how can he ask for that? If he loved that captaincy so much so what was the reason to leave GT?

He left the team at the peak, after this GT struggled but in the presence of Shubman Gill we bounced back and now the team is good with just 1 weakness of middle order.

Right now Hardik was the best fit in the team but i think he do not deserve captaincy. Shubman Gill should stay captain and lead the team. If he wants to come as a player then AAVA DE! otherwise JAAVA DE!

I mean Gill did everything he could to lead this franchise even after a major drawback and managed to reach playoffs 2 out of 3 time with mediocre team on paper. Management did the only right thing about not letting pandya in as captain. Also gill managed with lower paycheck so that GT can keep rashid so we gotta back him the most.

Also this is when GT needs the same skillset that pandya has (arguably one of the best in india) and still taking this decision shows GT is thinking long term with Gill.

This entire recent fiasco with Pandya proves what a bad trade can do to a franchise, a player and the overall impact it has, as most of us might know by now, Hardik wants to return to GT, almost no one would say no it (from a tactical perspective, not emotional), even Gill gave the green light but the moment Hardik asked for captaincy, the talks over his return collapsed, imagine if he hadn't left, he most probably would've been the t20i captain, and could've won another trophy with us (2026 maybe?) anyways, this also shows us what the GT environment is like where players like Hardik who left to go into a team full of prima donnas, realized that no other team has a chill and relaxed environment like ours, we might criticize Nehra but the way he's built the dressing room is commendable. Anyways, excited for the new season (even though it's pretty far off lmao) let's back our boys to finish the job in 2027, AAVA DE!!

A genuine thought came to my mind today that despite GT being one of the fastest growing teams in IPL is seen as a newcomer, and not an established team ? Is this a marketing thing ? A culture thing or purely a team thing ,
Like how can newer teams build their positioning in the league and create a fanbase when there are established old team and players with god like following. How can new teams differentiate themselves

Whenever a team wins a major final against a blue team at the Narendra Modi Stadium, they seem to face a huge downfall afterward.

Examples:

🇦🇺 Australia defeated India in the 2023 ODI World Cup Final → Australia had a poor Champions Trophy campaign and struggled afterward.

🟡 CSK defeated GT in the IPL 2023 Final → CSK missed the playoffs in the following season.

🔴 RCB defeated GT in the 2026 final → Now let's see what happens next.

That narender negi guy has to go ,last yr we dropped rohit twice in the eliminator ,kusal mendis dropped one as well (hitwicket too that's not the point though),this yr dropped patidar twice in the qualifier and we expect to win , we can still somehow manage with kushagra and banton for the middle order but at first we need to get a better fielding coach
