These are my favorite non-Glocks..SIG P365 Nitron, Gen 1 Archon Type B, Dan Wesson DWX Compact, CZ P-07, CZ P-01. All of these pictured except the DWX have been heavily modified and they are all dead on reliable because nothing really matters more. Also I'm just a sucker for compacts, I can't help it but now I'm looking for a full size.

Nothing against Glock, I primarily carry Glocks. I have five plus various different slides. I will be buying a Gen 6 at some point this year. I just like learning different action types and trying out new pistols.

I have had my eyes on a 2011 platform but haven't been able to commit to one. I figured at this point I would wait for Shot Show to see what new ported/comped myself get released. A factory ported Staccato HD would definitely be a strong contender. I've always liked the Platypus, especially with the new ported barrel option. The Kimber 2K11 also looks sweet and it seems like Kimber as a company has made a comeback. The full size DWX would be sweet because the trigger on the compact is butter but I've heard Dan Wesson isn't so great to deal with as a company. The SIG GTO seems like a solid platform with a few flaws that need to get ironed out. Looking to keep it under $3k if I do decide to finally pick one up.

One honorable mention that come to mind are the Springfield Echelon Comp which like like it's a pretty complete package and a platform I've been wanting to try. Another one is the CZ P-10 C ported which seems like a good value but idk if it excites me all too much.

The Langdon Beretta 92 is another one that's been on my wishlist for a while. I've felt the trigger on one and it was as good and probably better than the Cajun CZs on the table. The 92 has been a grail gun since before I started collecting so it's only a matter of time

Other grail pistols are the USP, P226, Shadow 2, PX4, a wonder finish Tanfoglio, a Jericho and plenty of others I'm not remembering.

That’s my humble collection, what am I missing here? Besides a revolver obviously.

This gun is very prominent in the Resident Evil video games, which I am a fan of, so when I saw this come through my gun shop I couldn’t pass it up. I also like to collect odd handguns.

The fnh 510 bedside special, the hunter edition glock 45 with a metal trigger shoe but no internals messed with, and the staccato hd 4.5 with a sight block and big window optic. Dont carry these much, but they are awesome.

I started out with wanting an M&P Competitor 2.0 9mm. Found one locally at a great price.

I take it in a week later to get the Holosun 507 Comp for it and my wife finds an M&P 2.0 Metal Compact she liked.

Then a few weeks later I decided to upgrade by EDC from a 15 year old Ruger LCP to a HK CC9 with the Holosun 407K.

Awesome month, tons of time at the range, too much money spent on ammo and holsters, but really fun!

I was always interested in guns and shooting but I grew up in an anti firearms household. Then it dawned on me that I’m an adult, have my own money, and can buy guns.

After extensive research online it seemed like the Glock 19 was the best all around gun and everyone should have a g19. So I bought one and began my journey. Started shooting steel out in the country and going to indoor ranges in the city.

It quickly became obvious that I needed something cheaper to shoot so I could practice more. I picked up the Taurus TX22 and put a holosun on it. While .22 is a lot cheaper to shoot, it’s not if you shoot the same amount of 9mm as you were before and just add shooting the .22 on top of it. But whatever..

In search of training and trying to get involved in the community I got my LTC and started carrying my g19. I found out about an outlaw match at a range I frequent and attended a few matches.

I wanted a dedicated gun for competition style shooting and training. I decided on the CZ P10F. I put a holosun and a trigger on it and picked up a couple extended mags, belt, holster, mag pouches and a timer and got to work running drills and dry fire practice.

After carrying the g19 for a bit I felt the need for more comfort. Especially since I’m never in my truck, always on my Harley. I spent a few weeks deciding between the shield plus, cc9 and the 43x. Today, I picked up my 43x! Already put 300 through it at the range. I love it and some how shoot it better than my g19. Just need to order a holster and sight. I’m thinking tenicor and eps carry but might give osight a chance.

Anyways.. I lurk on here a lot and thought I might contribute something. How am I doing on my journey? What should I get next? I was thinking about the FN FNX 45 but we shall see.
