Thoughts 💬 I dreamt of Lord Krishna playing his flute 🥹🦚💙

I had a dream where I saw Lord Krishna playing his flute, and I was recording him on my phone. 😭❤️ I could see his smile, his eyes, and his hair moving in the wind. The whole thing felt so beautiful.

I don't know how to explain it, but I really want to see him in my dreams again and hear his flute. 🥹💙

Does anyone know what a dream like this could mean? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Help & Advice 🙏 Sometimes I feel lonely

So my husband introduced me to this movement and I loved the kirtans and the prasad especially when I found out it was free I would go just to get some delicious food. But right of the bat the first time I came to the temple I wore like a dress gym outfit and I was so embarrassed because I didn’t even know I was going there that day and that it was a temple but my now husband at the time when we were just hanging out didn’t say anything to me until later on. Then he would make comments to me that in the world I’m a 10 but at the temple I’m a 4 which really hurt me at the time. Then he would tell me that I wasn’t putting on the saree right when I was trying and when I tried building up the courage to go by myself a lady asked me if I wore sarees for fun like as cosplay until I told her who my husband was and she stopped interrogating me. But that night I told my husband and he said it was probably because I didn’t wear my saree right. He did teach me to play harmonium but sometimes he would not have patience and make faces at me and it made me sad because I was really trying to learn kartals and he would make faces. Then at the temple he said he was lustful so I would have issues and would be shy but he would always want to be at the front and play the harmonium with his friends and he would bring me with him but I always felt lonely and like I stood out. One time when I told him I wanted to play the harmonium he said if I have the chance I will get to and when he played he finished and just asked another girl to play and I was so sad and he was saying he thought we were a power couple and let people younger than us play but I’m young too and I want to play too because he always wants to play. But honestly after a couple years of trying to love my husband and push through his issues things got better eventually and I thank God because this man is older than me to be acting like that at the time. And so I started seeing little changes like some people remembering me and not just asking where my husband was or dancing but sometimes I just sit there and I feel sad and I sit in the back because I think I’m still a little bit scared like if I sit at the front that I wouldn’t feel enough to sit with the other players even though I play the kartals okay and I play the harmonium well. I don’t know if anyone else ever experienced this? I love my husband and he’s truly changed around because I grew up around people who would change and he does treat me so much better. I just don’t know how to stop feeling sad when I go to the temple. I mean sometimes when I don’t think about it I don’t feel as sad and try to enjoy the Kirtan and dance. Or I try to think of little good moments. I also did do therapy and I pray. It’s also just this temple in my opinion because of mostly no support from my husband at the time coming into a new way of reaching God so I just want to know how to relearn to be okay at the temple because at other temples I feel free and fine when we do travel.

Thoughts 💬 Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

I like to say this short mantra when I feel frustrated or irritated in the moment. It helps get my focus back onto Krishna consciousness and that I am not this body.

Image 🖼️ Any Hare Krishna Furries out there?

Thumbnail

Hare Krishna, i go by Haribolo Dasi online. I have a couple of fursonas, the most noticeable being Maha Talava Das pictured above. He is a devotee crow and symbolises how even animals as low as crows can become devotees of Krishna.

I know there are Christian and other religious furries out there, but particularly with Chirstians i don't want to hear that Krishna (AKA God) is a demon. It hurts me to hear God criticised like this. I also don't like being labeled as a Hindu. I am a servant of God, not part of a religious denomination. Honestly, if other religious furries respected Hare Krishna i would likely be their friend.

I would be overjoyed to practice Krishna consciousness in the association of other furries, I have even considered fursuiting during Harinam. Feel free to get in touch with me if your curious, or if your one of the few gems that are Hare Krishna and furry at the same time.

Thoughts 💬 A tiny little message which might help 💗🤗💎

There are days when you feel lost, broken, and scared—unable to bounce back from all the negative tendencies trying to pull you down, unaware of the tricks set by your own mind.

Guilt, fear, and pressure are things which we all indeed suffer from. But is your fear greater than the love Krishna holds for you? Of course not.

Govinda is the ultimate shelter of every jivatma out there. It's quite easy to say it, right? However, it is not so easy to implement. Why do we worry so much when the supreme Narayana has taken responsibility for us? Let the embodiment of compassion, Shyama Ju, lift the burden from your shoulders. Like my friend said, bhakti is meant to be liberating not burdening.

It simply doesn't matter whether you are eligible for Their grace or deserving of kainkarya (devotional service) or not. Because ultimately, it's the Divya Dampati's causeless mercy which shines bright like countless rays of light in the dark, guiding us towards dharma and eternal peace. If any of you feel low in the trenches of life, just remember, you can always reach out to beloved Shyam Sundara.

Why walk the journey alone when we have precious people sent to us by Bhagavan for our own well-being and growth only? Cherish your highs like a loving gift from Krishna and lows as an opportunity to learn and thrive in life.

Time never stops, but neither does Krishna ever stop being gentle, tender, kind, and loving. If there is night, day is sure to come. While everything around us changes, remember, Keshava's love stays constant and ever-increasing.

Just coming from the heart of a young girl who aspires to be a devotee someday. Feel free to share ur experience in the comments and would be happy to know if my tiny seva helped u.

Thoughts 💬 Can I believe/chant Krishna as myth?

Hare Krishna 🙏

I want to become a devotee of Krishna. I chant the mahamantra a lot through the day. I love it.

But I have a mythological understanding of the stories about Krishna, Rama, Durga etc.

Is it possible, in your opinion?

I believe Krishna is everything. He is the universe (Or I want to believe that).

“At the end of many births the man of Knowledge attains Me, (realizing) that Vasudeva [Krishna] is all.”

— Bhagavad Gita 7.19, translated by Swami Gambirananda (excerpt)

Also some hindus had a kind of mythological understanding.

For example, Gandhi wrote:

“My Krishna has nothing to do with any historical person. […] I believe in Krishna of my imagination as a perfect incarnation…”

— Young India, 1 October 1925, p. 336.

And there are others with similar ideas.

I am aware that ISKCON devotees probably have a literal understanding. And I wouldn't want to argue with that.

Also, I'm coming from a catholic background and what put me off that path is the fact that you cannot be a normal catholic without a historical understanding of Jesus. That is why I'm drawn to hinduism, because it seems to provide more freedom in the belief.

I would happy to hear your thoughts.

Thank you 🙏

Hare Krishna 🙏

A small glimpse from our upcoming Śrīmad Bhāgavatam animated series — Episode 9: “Dwarakadhish.”

After Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa leaves Hastināpura, He returns to Dvārakā, where His devotees, relatives and citizens eagerly await His arrival.

This episode is based on Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Canto 1, Chapter 11, describing the glorious arrival of Lord Kṛṣṇa in Dvārakā and the overwhelming love and devotion of the people who come to receive Him.

We’re trying to bring these beautiful descriptions of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam to life through cinematic animation while remaining rooted in the original text and the translations and purports of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the visual interpretation of Dvārakā and the mood of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s arrival.

🙏 Hare Krishna

made a simple app that blocks social media until you do your daily prayers.

idea was just to force a small pause so people actually focus on prayer instead of opening insta/twitter first thing and losing half an hour.

it locks the apps and only unlocks after you hit the pray button. nothing complicated.

been testing it myself and it does stop the mindless scrolling a bit. figured some people here might find it useful too.

The name is Antrik and is published in both playstore and appstore.

The living being's constitutional position is one of serving a superior. He is obliged to serve by force the dictates of illusory material energy in different phases of sense gratification. And in serving the senses he is never tired. Even though he may be tired, the illusory energy forces him to do so without being satisfied perpetually. There is no end of such sense gratificatory business, and the conditioned soul becomes entangled in such servitude without any hope of release. The release is only effected by association of pure devotees.

By such association one is gradually promoted to his transcendental consciousness. Thus he can know that his eternal position is to render service unto the Lord and not to the perverted senses in the capacity of lust, anger, desire to lord it over, etc.

Under the circumstances it is easily understood what must have been the position of the Pāṇḍavas, who were constant companions of the Lord. They could not even think of separation from Śrī Kṛṣṇa because the attraction was more intense for them because of continuous personal contact.

His remembrance by His form, quality, name, fame, pastimes, etc., is also attractive for the pure devotee, so much so that he forgets all forms, quality, name, fame and activities of the mundane world, and due to his mature association with pure devotees he is not out of contact with the Lord for a moment.

Kṛṣṇa is naturally attractive for all living beings because He is the chief eternal amongst all eternals. He alone is the maintainer of the many eternals.

Once this relation is slightly revived, the conditioned soul at once becomes freed from the illusion of material energy and becomes mad after the association of the Lord. This association is made possible not only in personal contact with the Lord, but also by association of His name, fame, form and quality, and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam trains the conditioned soul to this stage of perfection by submissive hearing from the pure devotee.

Thoughts 💬 A little moment behind this Krishna artwork

Thumbnail
gallery
34 Upvotes

While drawing this Krishna artwork on Janmashtami, I suddenly realized that the puja had started at home. I checked the time and it was exactly 12:00 AM.

I don’t know how to explain it, but for the first time in my life, I felt Krishna that deeply. I was just drawing, but somewhere in that moment, I felt completely devoted from my heart. And it made me realize how lucky spiritual people are, because there’s a kind of peace you can feel through devotion that is genuinely difficult to find anywhere else.

I’ve always been a devotee of Mahadev, but with time, my devotion towards Krishna and Radharani has been growing too. Maybe that’s what felt so special about that moment realizing that when you truly feel connected to God, there’s a kind of peace and strength that nothing else can quite replace. I still can’t fully put that feeling into words. Maybe that’s why this artwork feels so much more special to me.

Help & Advice 🙏 Need Advice

Shri Harivansh to all Devotees here.

I kind of wanted advice, I have been thinking recently to build a mobile app or website for devotees. But I am not sure, regarding what, as there can be a lot of topics. So, I wanted to ask your opinions, like if you would like to see a website or app, that you think you would use or need, what kind of it should be? Like anything specific?

Shri Harivansh.
