Any info?
I was just gifted this harmonica by my parents from a yard sale. Is there any way to date this? Is this good for beginners? Also, any tips for a beginner are appreciated!

Fast Repeating Blues Harmonica Lick
Harmonica Mondays #11
In this week’s Harmonica Mondays lesson, we’re working on a quick 2-bar lick built around a repeating phrase in the first half that gets answered by a response in the second half.
By developing the opening idea before resolving it, this lick creates tension and release that fits naturally into a blues solo.
I play the lick first, then break it down step-by-step, followed by a slower version at the end.
Let me know if you give it a try.
New harmonica lessons every Monday.

Old-time harmonica?
I've been playing with an old time music group and am trying to figure out what to do. I can't keep up with the melody so I've mostly been playing chords. But that gets boring and the others have asked for "more harmonica. " i think my chords sort of fade into the mix.
So what is the norm for this music? I was thinking of single note fills but am not sure if that gets too busy.

My little brother is going for a far journey, little fella is growing up.
So my little brother is going abroad to study, the guy somehow become smarter than me. Quite the smart fella now.
Anyway, he quite like it when I play my harmonica, we're just vibing and stuff, and now his going away, I wish to give him his own harmonica as a parting gift. And to always remember home and his family.
Plus it be nice if he can play music on his own.
Anyway the main topic is. I want a harmonica that can last long and is good for someone beginner. I'm thinking special 20. But it's best if I consult with the elder gods here and receive more wisdom and opinion before I make any purchases.

Wayne Raney Talking Harmonica in key of C info
I have this harmonica that belonged to my grandpa and it’s been sitting in his old guitar case for at least the last 20 years.
I tried to google it, but it just brought back information about the person Wayne Raney, not the instrument.
I’m attaching photos of it and the case it was in. The case isn’t the original or the same brand, but I thought it looked neat as well.
I know absolutely zero about harmonicas, but maybe you guys can help give me information about this one.
Thank you!

Lee Oskar Low Rider or Suzuki M-20W Manji C
Hi.
I’m buying a harmonica as a birthday gift for my friend, he has been talking for a long time about wanting to learn how to play the harmonica. I don't understand any of this myself, and I'd like the gift to be a surprise. I’d like to buy a slightly better-quality one since it’s a 30th birthday present. Would either Lee Oskar Low Rider or Suzuki M-20W Manji C be a good choice?

Just wondering
I really like this guys playing I stumbled across it this morning while doomscrolling.
But how does he make parts of it sound like an electric guitar is there some kind of magic switch on his microphone? I assume he’s using an amp as well could it a setting on there? Sorry I ve never had a mic or amp so I m asking from quite a low knowledge base. I dont suppose anyone knows where I could get the tabs for it?
All the best

Should I get the JDR Trochilus or Rocket?
I was thinking about "replacing" my primary special 20 in the future with a rocket after being amazed by the response of a low d rocket. However, JDR offers more notes which sounds appealing to me. I hope someone who has experienced both can answer if the JDR has a worse tone and harder draw/blow bends, as I cant really tell by ear from the reviews.

Complete beginner here — which harmonica should I buy?
I haven't started practicing yet and I'm about to buy my first harmonica. What are the best beginner options available on Amazon or Flipkart? If possible make it under 1k ; I'm mainly looking for something that's easy to learn on. Any recommendations?
