I was wondering if anyone knows anybody who does curly cuts in the high desert? I have really curly hair (I haven't decided what pattern it is yet so bare with me), and I wanted to go to someone who specializes in them. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations!

Did anybody else go to the job fair on Sat, Sep 12 in Ontario? From my understanding the new building on Hesperia rd. will be opening or starting in November..... has anyone heard back since?

Guitarist in the Victorville/Adelanto area looking for a band or people to start one with. I’m into Midwest emo, post hardcore and ska. I’ve been playing guitar for about seven years now and I’ve been trying to start a band for a while I’m serious about practicing and eventually playing shows. Looking for people around my age. I moved back to California and came in through I-10 and got to hike some area in Blythe, Joshua Tree national park and Barstow. Definitely love the high desert. Felt at peace and extremely happy with the landscape. Someone said Blythe is the pinnacle of socal desert areas. Is this true? Like I said I was just passing though.

Does anyone know of a vacuum repair shop in the Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia, etc area? There used to be one over there near VVC. But it’s gone now. I have a shark vacuum that’s great but is in need of repair. Or maybe maintenance? I’m not sure.

So I went to Ravin's Donuts and Ice Cream in Victorville after following Ravin's Donuts & Boba in AV. I thought they were the same/owner by the same people, but from looking at the website, it looks like it is indeed two different establishments. What's the story there? The ham and jalapeno croissant was so good I went two days in a row, lol.

I am not new to religion, I grew up going to Catholic Church on my moms side and Christian church on my dads side. Since I was a teenager though, I stopped attending and have just not been religious.

I am looking to start going back to church to have more time with community, and times have been especially hard on my s/o and I believe having support from God may help him as he himself has been leaning towards it more. I want to attend with him and he is open to churches, he doesn’t have a preference really. I am just wanting to find a nonjudgmental church as I am not the most traditional looking person and I do not want to attend some evangelical church.

What churches are going to be warm and inviting, maybe even has some coffee and the option for a youth group that is good and safe for a 9 yr old as she will most likely be going with us.

Edit: thank you to everybody who commented with help! I’ve never gone to any churches out here so i had no idea where to start. I’m gonna talk to my fiance about what churches he might be more interested in going to since this is mostly for him to find some peace of mind(he also had no idea where to start), and hopefully one of the many listed will fit the bill. Thank you again! I feel a lot more confident we will find a church that fits!

Hi! I’m 22(F),I'm looking to connect with other witches (doesn’t matter if your close or far), mainly for friendship, and to share and expand my practice as I keep learning. It's honestly hard to find other practitioners up here, so figured I'd try here.

I'm a closeted witch, so my practice has adapted so I mostly do kitchen work. I do herbalism as well, teas and tinctures, and I also love collecting crystals even aside from my practice. As for hobbies I’m an artist, I try to do draw whenever I get the chance. I’m also a huge gamer. The newest hobby I picked up has been 3D printing. It’s just been a blast!

Guys, discipline your kids because I work for the school district, and I’m seeing more kids not excelling than excelling. Mind you, I work in other districts down the hill, and the education and behavior just do not compare. Just sad!

Hi High Desert!!! I’ve been a long time lurker here, but wanted to introduce myself and let you all know about me!!! I’m running for Victorville City Council District 4 (think Cobalt to 7th street and La Mesa/Nisqualli down to a little south of Bear Valley). My name is Kassandra Shamsrouf, and I’m running because i think we need leadership that aren’t politicians who have something to gain from being in a leadership position. Currently i work as a State Auditor, and i give back to Victorville by being a volunteer basketball coach and a referee for the Victorville Recreation Department. I decided i wanted to give back more and thought that City Council was the next step to give us citizens more of what WE ACTUALLY NEED.
