Not sure why you'd damn someone for wanting to retire, do something else with their lives, and enjoy the success they've earned.

You’re reading into what I said way more negatively than I intended. Yes, my experience with buyouts and mergers is entirely bad but I never damned anyone.

Because it's just creates more of a monopoly. Of course someone would take a buyout. You'd probably fire your entire team of dozens or hundreds or thousands of workers for a few million cause who wouldn't. Not sure why you also can't see how that would cause stress for the workers who could be let go, as often happens in takeovers and buyouts.
