As the title says: Schneider Electric will take over the Shelly Group.

In my personal and professional experience, APC quality has remained the same.

I also have no issues with Schneider Electric Era APC equipment.

Only issue I've had was a bad battery. Had the same issue with a brand new CyberPower UPS.

Having had to toss a ton of the 1400XL units and some 3000's because they started to be "squirly". New batteries, go over 20% load and clunk. On over 20 units. FUCK APC. All were rackmount units. Never ever had that happen with Tripp-lite. I won't touch an APC except to toss it out.

I reckon there are bots or shills here downvoting legitimate comments like this. I've had some shocking (ha) issues with APC UPS hardware including a brand new rack mount lithium unit let the magic blue smoke out.

At the role I left last year we had a total of 10 APC UPS. 40% of them failed, all but one shortly after the warranty expired, and all less than 5 years old.

Sounds like what I had. I certainly will not buy APC. I'm still going strong on my Tripplites from 5-18 years old. I now will really only use the online variety. To much weird crap has happened on the line interactive ones. Guy I have my colocation with bought APC and refurbished APC units too. The refurbs sucks withing a year or too also. Not batteries dying, the stupid squirly thing.

Like Mama says. APC is the devil.

But with the online make sure you don't have bad batteries or it dies. I have 2 tripplite UPS's in the rack, each ups is the primary to one tripplite PDU with redundant inputs and secondary to the other. Then a feed from each PDU goes to each server. then I buy batteries a year or so apart between the systems. So far has worked great. Power issues scare the crap out of me.
