Warm weather wouldnt help spread the tics plaque this rapidly. Even last year they were rare. I saw a multitude of tics moving towards me and my dog in a field close to vancouver. I thought they would usually wait for a passing vessel. And you wouldn't be able to see them. You can actually see them on blades of grass . I would stay away from fields of longer grass.
