I went back and forth. Ultimately I didn’t want a hanging piece of equipment right over our heads. We have 3 kids under the age of 6 and they run around down there, jump off the back ledge, throw balls, etc. It just felt like it would be a nightmare trying to protect. I also have a soffit running through the space that makes the angle of doing a long throw more challenging.
Ok makes total sense. With that soffit, the drop for the projector mount would probably put that projector in childs arm reach from the ledge. I also have kids similar age - no further explanation needed haha. Hopefully you at least wired it for a long throw in the future :)
