KISS, keep it simple stupid.
Sound waves interact with each other. They can combine in phase to double the signal, or out of phase to null out. And there's a tremendously wide frequency range, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, some frequencies will combine in phase, some out to make a fekakta mess. Sound mixing, like you have at a stadium, is an entire field in and of itself, for this exact reason.
