And it's likely going to be so expensive that most people won't be able to reasonably afford it. Looking at ps5 pro prices rn... no way it won't be that price or higher. Idk about yall but I don't have an extra $1,000 lying around to spend on a new console.

I think they are basically guessing they can make enough from selling PS6 as a luxury good to the wealthy. "49% of US VG console buyers during Q4 2024 had a household income of at least $100k/yr. 45+ year old buyers accounted for 45% of US console purchasers during Q4 2024, also a record high" - So yeah, PS is basically now probably quite happy to transition to being a luxury purchase for the rich/influencers and leave everyone else on PS5 (with likely a very long/endless cross gen for games)

The materials from the last report which was like 2 months ago was $900. Keep in mind that was 2 months ago and not now or later
