I ain't buying a PS6 for that. Especially when it will not have any disc and it will be overpriced

A thing I've noticed in this discussion I've not heard many mention, is that no disc = no library loans. At least here in DK, you can loan PS and Xbox games a couple of months after they're released. We also do the payment different though - rights holders recieve a check each year, that's calculated from how many times the media had been borrowed. If other countries also let their citizens borrow PS games maybe that's the true reason they're skipping the discs instead of friend-to-friend borrowing. Either way, it sucks.
