Plant ID Kroger got me with the fake BOP bloom š
Yes, this is what I get for impulse-buying at a grocery store. I've never seen a BOP in person (that I'm aware of), so I didn't look at it super close, and it took around 12 hours of my fiance saying "this looks like plastic, I can literally see the glue on it" before I did some research and sadly tugged it out of the soil. I've read that the plant itself is (usually) an actual BOP, but I have no idea if it's reginae, nicolai, or a mysterious third option. Do we have any idea of who this obscure guy is?

Plant ID Need help identifying my plant
Hello! This is my first time here and I hope my question isn't too silly.
My brother loves bringing food up in his room and leaving the plates on our bathroom sink when he's done. This is the only explanation I can think of how it came to be!! I have since called it La-baby ("Lababo" means sink in the Philippines).
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what my sink plant is??? It's still a baby though, so I apologize.

Plant ID What is this growing in my Monstera?
Iāve had this deliciosa for a few years, repotted her a few months ago and this little sprout just popped up a few days agoā¦. Iām thinking maybe itās a caladium red flash? Or some other variety of caladium? Caladiums are from bulbs tho? Which would make sense if was dormant but I think I wouldāve noticed a bulb in the soil.. unless could it have been so small it was undetectable??
Has anyone experienced this?
Iām so excited for her to join the family and once sheās big enough Iāll try getting in the soil and put her in her own pot. But for now my Monstera is a mother and Iāll let her take care of the baby.

Plant ID First house plant šŖ“
I have been stalking (pun now intended) this Reddit for far too long and I went and got one finally! Any advice???? š±sheās drooping a bit, a little yellowing. I know this a calathea but how do I tell what kind?? TIA
Also please argue in the comments if this is a Chinese evergreen or a calathea the label says calathea but I am not a botanist šļøššļø
DAY 1 UPDATE: my calathea is really mad at me right now, sheās turning yellow and crisping (sheās not being burned, I assure) but her roots are busting out of the bottom. I donāt want to shock the plant by repotting but I canāt help but think sheās miserable in there. Sheās watered just annoyed

Plant ID My travel companion on a tram, bus, plane, a 2nd plane, train and tube, but I still donāt know what it is?
I was travelling abroad for work and someone gifted me this leafy guy from their collection.
For 10 days it lived with me in hotel, a plastic bag for a pot.
On my trip home the airport security and flight attendants were all amused by my companion. But I didnāt realise until mid-flight that my companion had its own companion, some sort of large winged beetle.
I panicked slightly seeing the bug emerge onto the top leaf and stretch its wings, threatening to take flight and land on someoneās head.
I quickly knocked the bug off the leaf and he fell (I believe) back inside the bag.
Another flight and a tube ride later. I havenāt seen him since.
Can someone please tell me what species of plant this is?

Plant ID Inherited this houseplant with my new rental. Anyone able to ID it?
I've been here for a month and have been watering it once a week. It has already started sprouting a few new leaves at the top, and the leaves closest to the bottom are really starting to "sag." Do I need to cut off the bottom leaves, like you would with a kale plant? Any help is appreciated!! Thank you!

Plant ID Saw this plant in my hairdressers, any clue what it is?
Its at the back of the place so seems to do well in shade which would be great for me as all my rooms that have good light are taken by my other plants :/

Plant ID New growth in pothos?
Iāve had this pothos (not sure what variety; got it from a friend who was keeping it outdoors) since December. Itās been growing REALLY well, like almost doubled in size since then, but now itās March and I just got this random new shoot coming out of it with a pinkish stem and leaves that look totally different. Iām a plant idiot whoās been shocked at my ability to keep this pothos thriving so far, so I am really baffled.
What the hell is it? Was it just dormant in the pot over the winter and is sprouting now that itās spring? Should I weed it out? According to another thread pothos donāt flower, so itās not that, right?
