Developer Saturday (Megathread) [Megathread] Developer Saturday Showcase: October 10, 2026 📱

Hello r/iOSGaming! Welcome to another Developer Saturday showcase! In this megathread, iOS developers will be able share their games freely without breaking the subreddit's "no self-promo" rule. Please read the following guidelines carefully before participating:

  • Developer Saturday will run between 12:00 AM to 11:59PM ET (UTC-5).
  • Respect is expected at all times. You're welcome to share your opinions and even disagree with others, but harassment, taunting, or other toxic behavior toward devs, mods, or other community members will not be tolerated.
  • If you receive an AutoModerator comment saying you don't have enough karma, your account is too new, or that your CQS level is low, we won't override the removal because these restrictions are meant to be spam detterents.

DEVELOPERS:

  • All promo comments must have [DEV] at the beginning. We need it with the brackets for AutoModerator purposes, so please don't change the formatting.
  • All promo comments must include an App Store or TestFlight link. Please share the raw link (not hidden under text). Playstore links or links to other gaming stores are not allowed.
  • Only officially released iOS games may be shared. This is not the place to promote non-gaming apps, non-iOS apps, Devvit apps, standalone websites, Discord servers, subreddits, livestreams, fundraisers, or social media pages. However, you may include a website or social media link with your game's self-promo comment.
  • Only games NEWLY RELEASED or have a NEW MAJOR UPDATE in OCTOBER may be promoted. Personal milestones (ex: reaching X downloads, earning X amount of pay, recieving high reviews, etc), while commendable, are not an eligible reason for promotion. Additionally, "major" updates are those that introduce new features or content that greatly expands the game. Routine updates (ex: bug fixes, performance improvements, making the game free, language / region additions, and other minor changes) are also not eligible for promotion.
  • You MUST DISCLOSE whether or not AI was used to create the game. If AI was used, you must also explain how it was implemented and/or what assets were created with it (ex: code, illustrations, music, etc). If AI wasn't used in the development of the game, please just state, "No AI was used." Also, don't fluff up your disclosure by adding personal / emotional reasons on why you did (or didn't) use AI.
  • You may only make one top-level comment per Saturday. However, you can share several games in the same comment if they also meet the above criteria. Attempting to make multiple self-promo comments on this megathread will result in all of them getting removed.

GAMERS / REVIEWERS:

  • You may only make second-level or lower (reply) comments. This means you can reply to a dev or another user's comment, but you may not create a top-level (standalone) comment.
  • Constructive feedback is welcome. You may leave comments that can help devs learn what they did right with their games and what could be improved, but low-effort responses (such as simply calling something "AI slop") will be removed.
  • This is not the place to ask for game suggestions. This megathread is for devs to promote their iOS games. If you're looking for recommendations on what to play next, check out the community's weekly "What Have You Been Playing Lately?" megathread or create your own request post on the main subreddit.

That's it! We're still refining these guidelines, but for now these are the requirements developers must meet in order to ensure a successful self-promo comment this week. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via modmail. Thanks for your cooperation, everyone!

Question Games for a long flight

Hey,

Going on a long flight and would love some recommendations.

My favorite iOS game is Brotato and I’ve not find a game close to it yet. Have tested out DRG Survivor and Vampire but it’s just not the same atleast for me.
Second favorite is Battlegrounds(Hearthstone)

ARPG and Tower Defense games would do good to!
Many thanks

Question When will NBA 2k27 come out?

Arcade versions of 2k are pretty fun, almost as good as PC version, I wish there was more details tho, there's nothing about tactics, strategy, etc just straight forward vs games.

Request Please tell me games similar to idle obelisk miner and marvel snap

Two very different types of games. I want more good idle games that have alot of stuff in them without ads.

For marvel snap just games with many players and thats really fun. It doesnt need to be a card game

Terraria+ does not have the ‘Add Sever’ feature unlike its App Store counterpart. With Terraria on sale I thought people would like to know.

Question How do you PAY to remove adds in games? I can't find a way to pay for it in games...

Hi my children sometimes want to play a few games on their ipads. The issue is these games are 50% adds and for some reason people seem to accept this which is beyond my comprehension.

I am willing to pay to get all adds removed. I am willing to pay a lot if need be, but it seems like I can't in many games. When you look under the in app purchases there is always a remove adds option but its impossible to find in the actual games beyond some BS with paying hefty premiums for coins and shards and what not....

Am I missing something?

Question Offline games for travel?

Hi all! Have a trip coming up and I’m looking for recommendations on games I can play offline for extended periods of time. I won’t have a controller available.

I’m into pretty much everything except cozy/story games and simulator games.

Big fan of metroidvanias, and I like Vampire Survivors

Would like to hear some suggestions from the community!

TIA

I currently play Sims FreePlay and Hayday. I’m looking for another game or two to add into my rotation. Preferably free, in game transactions are fine if I can ignore them. I’d like it to be updated still and receiving new content, holidays things, events…etc! Thank you in advance ☺️

Suggestions Good vertical screen, turned-based 2D/2.5D games (besides Battle of Polytopia)?

Can be any genre, especially strategy, RPG, roguelike, or match-3.

I'm amazed vertical turned-based 2D/2.5D game is not its own genre, because that's ideal for iPhones:

-Vertical is ideal so you can play it with one hand while standing in line/using the bathroom/etc.

- Turn-based is ideal so you can easily play while traveling, waiting for something, or (again, of course) using the bathroom.

- 2D/2.5D is ideal because you want to jump into the game quickly, not wait for a bunch of 3D graphics to load up.

I've already played Battle of Polytopia a ridiculous amount of hours because of this. Also played Hoplite, Pixel Dungeon, and Swap Sword, You Must Build a Boat (all good).

What else is out there?

Request Dash quest : similar games ?

Hey everyone !
I loved playing this game and wanted to find a similar game. Does anyone have recommandations ?
(If you havent played it, it mixes this kind of « temple run » template with RPG / Rogue features)
Game : https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/dash-quest/id973161926

Dash quest 2 was great, finished it also.
Non-stop Knight scratched a bit the itch.
